Oh my, got some Saitek combat pro pedals.... god after 6 or so years using a twist joystick rudder it is soooo hard to adjust. Had a very quick flight to test them out.. just spent 30 seconds spinning clockwise then 30 seconds spinning anti clockwise and repeat!

I'm sure i'll be glad in the long run, but using all new hotas & pedals is a major set back as i un-teach myself all the years of instinctive usage!

Haha, yeah it's tough starting out with some pedals. I've only recently become efficient with their use in the Huey. Try to think of using them as moving one foot forward and the other backward at the same time, it will let you be a lot more precise than simply pushing one or the other forward. Maybe like you're standing up and pivoting. Hang in there and once you finish your re-education I know it will be a night and day difference from flying like we all did at one point with a Microsoft Sidewinder and a keyboard. Congrats on the new setup and enjoy!

I keep on trying to twist my new poor TM Warthog stick, luckily it's made a take it!

It's daunting with completely new input setup. Been flying for so long with my x52pro you forget how many buttons etc you use without thinking, now everything is a struggle. But there is no doubt in the superiority of the TM Warthog and pedals over the x52pro, huge improvement. Only issue now is the biological interface.

(cheers luca!)

On the Warthog, it may help to modify the spring tension. VERY easy to do and there are a million youtube videos that show you how to do this. The nice thing is that it's easy to reverse it! Basically, you take out the main spring that provides resistance. This way, moving the cyclic takes no effort...it helped me for the Huey (and other sims, really)
