bSr.LCsta Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 great stuff! and to think this whole time I had been doubting you...... ;) Awesome videos Guru, that looks so fun! Ever had any close calls or accidents while doing that? Also have you ever jumped out of the plane and then gotten back in to it? (see the video below.) p.s. Here are a couple vids you might enjoy ;) CrazySky - Insane skydiving tricks Insane Base Jumping. is this ok?
zaGURUinzaSKY Posted January 3, 2006 Author Posted January 3, 2006 ...Ever had any close calls or accidents while doing that? Also have you ever jumped out of the plane and then gotten back in to it? (see the video below.) Well 4 times I had main parachute malfunction, cutted away and emergency parachute deploy... a couple of nice hard crash landing during some "hook turn" and nothing else, not many accidents in my 4000 jumps. I'v never got back in the airplane but we (my team) flew many time in formation with it in during some "track" jump where you can dive with about 40° angle of dive just with the body.... that was fun, especially the faces of the passenger inside the aircraft. Less fun but it happened, 3 of the airplane I flew crashed, one of it lost a wing some seconds after I jumped out and I lost a friend (the pilot). The problem with those Pilatus PC6 is that they flys it like an extra 300 and it's not and extra300... Another bad take off with full climbing trims, we crashed off the runway on the grass, not fun our suit was full of jet fuel.. no accidents luckely.. after that day all PILATUS aircraft has a redi stick over the cockpit "CHECK TRIMS BEFORE TAKE OFF".. it's impossible to reset trims in time in a take off run... Anyway that was very fun. Robbie.
zaGURUinzaSKY Posted January 3, 2006 Author Posted January 3, 2006 about those "insane videos", many of those insane skydivers died.... there's no heroes in this sport, it's just an aeronautical sport where super heroes and showmen generally dies. Robbie.
zenTera Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 Holy crap, I once did a parachute jump myself - incredible feeling! But them guys in the 'insane' vids could as well leave their chute in the plane when they jump out.
