junae Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 Hi Considering the impact in FPS, is there a way (a key toggle) so that in-game we can turn on/off the mirrors? I find them only usefull during a dogfight, and I don't want use them all the time... Thanks ;) =FN= Six o'Clock Member of Falcões da Noite Squadron Florianopolis :: Brazil
ScEBlack1 Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 If you push M=right mirror and N=left mirror but this is only when you hold it down, it wont stay that way, so no there is not a toggle to keep them on then shut them off. That would be nice though.
junae Posted January 3, 2006 Author Posted January 3, 2006 Thanks Jessi I'll try them home tonight... Just wondering if I could map an advanced command on my X52, so that I assign a press of the "M" or "N" keys, but not the depress... that way would Lockon still think I'm holding the key? =FN= Six o'Clock Member of Falcões da Noite Squadron Florianopolis :: Brazil
Guest Cali Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 Thanks Jessi I'll try them home tonight... You should be able to do that. When I had my X-45 I had commands that would do that. Just do into the SST program right click on what button you want to do that and edit it.
ScEBlack1 Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 Cali is right that might work using the saitek program but remember that it probably would only allow you to pull up one mirror at a time, left or right. Also it kinda changes your view a little depending on which side you choose to bring up. Try hitting the M or N button and see for yourself what i mean, it kinda makes you lean a little to the left or right so i dont know if it would be possible to bring up both mirrors together which is needed for dogfighting to see behind both sides of you. I have a fast computer so mine are on all the time on high resolution and clean mirror mod with reflections (just like the real deal). Good luck with it my freind and post back if it works. Have a good one.

ScEBlack1 Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 That could be the one Thomas im not sure, i will check on it later tonight. If it is the one then it's compatible for FC also. Is that a new Archers sound pack on your site and does it have radio communication's on the cockpit system file like ZZZspaces does?.
Guest ThomasDWeiss Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 It is the old one - patched and now a LOMAN 5 pack, I use it - but I installed ZZZSPACE 8 cockpitsystem.wav also, I replaced Archer's one which is a very short one that tends to be tedious. All other sounds I found very realistic.
