so i purcheased the huey, p51, combined arms and the blackshark2 and i have install problems again.

i started with a fresh install of the latest dcs world and downloaded all modules from the website. all installs and activations went fine except the a10c and the ka50.

there i get the message that i need the latest dcs world to be installed which it is.

what to do?

...

thx for any help

Go to the module manager in DCS World. Make sure that you are logged in correctly. Then you should get a popup that a new module is available to install. Confirm the popup. Profit, again! (i hope! :o)

unfortunately it doesn't.

i purchased above mentioned modules via steam, except the a10c, which i own a hardcopy of (i use the download version for install, though).

it's just bizarre that half the modules install without a hitch, and just the a10c and ka50 give me this error. both downloads show the same version number in the file name as the dcs world version. (i did download all of it 2 days ago).

i'm really starting to get put off by all that. i can't remember having ever had so much trouble getting any kind of software installed....

customer service sucks, too. i sent a ticket originally when i had my issue getting the a10c installed. no response.

and now with everything downloaded from their site, all keys available for all modules parts of it just won't work. having to rely on workarounds from helpful costumers is just plain wrong.

i'd still be glad for some other ideas to help me out.

cheers all.

I have not had any issues, and this is just a guess. Saw something about it in a previous post so it may help: start up dcs world. fly a quick start mission using the su-25. exit the mission, exit dcs world.

open your start menu item for eagle dynamics/dcs world. click on 'check for update'

There may be a daily update that dcs world needs in order to install the remaining modules.

I'm just throwing this out there, as again, I have not had any issues. Just remember seeing a post about something similar.

Good luck.

to Install a Module without having to worry about Versions of the installers:

(If you have folders for them in the /Mods/Aircrafts/ folder already, delete them.)

Start Button

Type CMD

(in the search box)(or Open Task Manager and Click New Task, Type CMD Then Enter).

Open Command Prompt.

Type: CD\

ENTER Key

Type: CD Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Bin\

ENTER Key

Type: DCS_updater.exe install <modulename>

ENTER KEY

<modulename> =

DCS_updater.exe install A-10C

DCS_updater.exe install KA-50

DCS_updater.exe install P-51D

DCS_updater.exe install CA

DCS_updater.exe install FC3

Notes:

-BlackShark 2 Upgrade Requires the Downloaded installer and "Upgrade" selected from the dropdown menu, otherwise you'll have activation issues.

-Not sure if you can list 2 modules in one command line (ie DCS_Updater.exe install A-10C KA-50 )

-Not sure if it works, but if you want to do it quicker, open task manager, Click New Task, and paste:

"C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Bin\DCS_Updater.exe install A-10C"

Hit OK, Updater will download the files and install, then boot DCSW, Start a Mission, Activate w/ License, Exit to Desktop.

Then New Task again, and paste:

"C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Bin\DCS_Updater.exe install KA-50"

Uhm, not to be rude or anything but isn't that exactly what the module manager does?

troubles continue...

i now made a seperate install of the a-10c so i can at least practise singleplayer. what i cannot do however is install bs2 or fc3 as those only run through dcs world.

i'm now trying a steam dcs world install to see whether fc3, bs2 or the a10c run through that.

still wondering why i get this error message: http://postimg.org/image/x8hl39a4b/
