ST0RM Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 I've got a spare axis on my joystick that I'd like to program to flaps. Can a future patch add this feature? Makes use of an otherwise unused wheel. -S
streakeagle Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Given that even at the Flaming Cliffs level, the goal is to be as realistic as practical, it doesn't make sense to map the flaps to an axis when the real A-10A flaps had only 3 selectable positions: 0 deg (UP), 7 deg (MVR), and 20 deg (DN). Of course there is nothing wrong with providing both the realistic 3-position and axis control for flexibility, I just doubt ED would put any kind of priority on adding a function that wasn't really there and is already working correctly per the flight manual.
