I added this to the F-5E and using a SEA repaint, have made a pseudo F-5C. But the probe is on the incorrect side. Could the 3D file be mirrored for the other side? Even without, it adds some Vietnam vibes.

Aggressor Vipers (both USN and USAF) often carry the ALQ-188 and -167 ECM pods during missions. Has anyone made one and made it available in DCS? Although ECM wouldnt be functional, the look of it mounted would add some visual realism. Thanks!

I'm looking forward to the T-38 mod. I routinely use the A-4E, OV-10, F-4C/D and F-16I Sufa. I used to use the A-29B, but it keeps getting broken by each update. So, I'm interested in mods, as they add aircraft that ED can't or won't. The F-35 is a very ambitious project to bring to DCS, hence my interest in this thread. To be done right, it needs SMEs to validate how it flies and integrates with the pilot. Unless you're just looking for a heavy F-16 with a new 3D model replacement. As for the F-35 record. Yes, it's a good platform. The sensor suite is stunning and allows for unprecedented SA for the pilot. In a turn fight, a F-16 can and will beat it. Even a Super Hornet. Wait for the Typhoon. It's strengths are that it can be pretty invisible and shoot first before detection. After that, it can be beat. Especially by a F-22. In November, I personally listened to the fight between 6 VFC-12 Supers, crush some F-35s in under 5 minutes. Lastly, the F-22 has a 241:2 kill ratio in it's best RF performance.

Don't get so worked up. I'm just asking legitimate questions so we can know what to expect. I don't use the Grinnelli F-22 mod, tbh. But back to the F-35 mod, it sounds like it'll be more "artistic license", than factual. And the -35 being better than the F-22? Based on what argument? Two completely different missions and designs that are decades apart.

Are you in any way affiliated with the F-35 program? So you'd be able to get some start on an FM? Or plan on just making something up?

I miss the scratches and glimmers in the upper canopy, that the F-5 had upon release. It actually felt like being in the jet. Now it's too clear.

I was mulling over the idea of buying a T-38A 3D model and seeing if a coder could replace the F-5 external model. Greatly looking forward to seeing this come to life.

The Huey's cockpit is very long in the tooth and blurry. Is there a more recent HD texture cockpit for it? Last one was from 2017 and apparently no longer works fully. Thanks!

Got this error after an hour of playing. Caused the sim to lock up, after making HSD SOI. ED_SOUND (4832): render time = 0.614704s exceeded allowed slice of 0.010000s No other errors in the Log. Any ideas?

That's most likely the only way we'll see the early variants of what we've got. Limit GPS/Datalink and lock down what weps are available to the user.
