deltahawk2008
Title says it all. I have FC2, which is a pretty darn good "all rounder". Is FC 3 a much improved product? Should mention I have A10dcs and BS2, as well. However, there are times when I just want to jump in a jet without worrying too much about complexity. I guess what I am saying is..is it worth it. Also, is the A10a which is available for separate purchase straight from FC3?
Pilotasso
FC3 has a lot of promise and great potential ahead but at this time I have to say it feels pretty much like beta. Lots of bugs and lots of addons and needed fixes inbound. Feel free to jump the fence but you are warned. :) [sigpic]http://forums.eagle.ru/signaturepics/sigpic4448_29.gif[/sigpic] My PC specs below:Case: Corsair 400C PSU: SEASONIC SS-760XP2 760W Platinum CPU: AMD RYZEN 3900X (12C/24T) RAM: 32 GB 4266Mhz (two 2x8 kits) of trident Z RGB @3600Mhz CL 14 CR=1T MOBO: ASUS CROSSHAIR HERO VI AM4 GFX: GTX 1080Ti MSI Gaming X Cooler: NXZT Kraken X62 280mm AIO Storage: Samsung 960 EVO 1TB M.2+6GB WD 6Gb red HOTAS: Thrustmaster Warthog + CH pro pedals Monitor: Gigabyte AORUS AD27QD Freesync HDR400 1440P
159th_Falcon
Might be an idea to wait for something like the DCS FC F-15C or SU-27S if all you wan't is hop into a fighter every now and then. And yes, A-10A is a direct port from FC3. But the added an AFM, no idea how good or bad it is, since i never play it. However, if you buy FC3 then you get the A10A whit AFM as well. ALDEGA
Getting FC3 also gets the DCS:FC F-15C and SU-27 modules for free.Strictly speaking, the FC3 aircraft will be updated to match the individually released modules. (they are the same) If you want to have the FC3 flyables without the requirement of having a Lockon license, you'll still need to buy the individual modules, as they become available. There's no indication of a possibility of converting FC3 keys to keys for the individual modules, thus removing the Lockon requirement.
Exorcet
I'd say that FC3 is worth getting over 2 for four reasons: 1- AFM missile - it is not done yet and it's a subject of heated of debate but at the moment I think it's fairly stable (that may very well change though). At this point, it doesn't seem as though the AFM itself will greatly change missile performance, we may have to wait for "AFM guidance" for that. 2- AFM fighters - FC3 will include AFM on the F-15 and Su-27. This is huge in my opinion and will make the aircraft so much better to fly, next best thing to DCS level. 3 - Mission editor - It's improved and the map is bigger, though the permanent work in progress state of DCS World can cause things to change often or break. ED is trying to fix this with dedicated beta test releases come version 1.2.6 (we are 1.2.5 now) 4 - Online - I haven't been on FC2 a lot, but I imagine FC3 is a lot more active. The 51st always seems to have a large group of players. Also, FC3 will be able to interact with all future DCS Modules and terrain.
