Howdy DCS-World LOMACers,

Newbie (to DCS-ED Forums) here.

I've been flying Lock On Gold with Flaming Cliffs 1.1 since 2006.

I love the high fidelity cockpits, and spot-on flight model performance; and am now looking to upgrade to Lock On Flaming Cliffs 3. What caught my attention immediately on LOMAC's Authentic Realism was the light reflections showing the Spider Cracks on the inside of the cockpit looking out through the canopies. That's exactly what they look like - Awesome !

I have an older, but still capable flight machine that meets minimum systems requirements for FC3:

- Windows XP Pro

- Intel P45 Chipset - Core 2-Duo E8500 - AMD Radeon HD 6870 2GB

- 4 GB G-Skill DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) ** will use /3GB Switch in Boot.ini **

- 300GB Velociraptor - 1TB Seagate - 250GB Samsung 840 SSD

I will be building new next year (2014) with a decent budget to work with.

========================================================

My Question:

My current build has multiple Drives, each with multiple partitions.

I have my original Lock On Gold and Flaming Cliffs 1.1 installed on my Windows System Partition on a Hard Disk Drive (the WD Velociraptor).

But, I'd like to install Lock On Flaming Cliffs 3 onto my Solid State Drive (SSD). Will the install recognize that I have the original Lock On installed on my machine (but on a different drive) ?

Or do I have to install FC3 on the same Drive-Partition Location where the original LOMAC lives ?

Any Help Appreciated !

You may install to whatever drive you like it only reads the registry to check lomac.

AMD A8-5600K @ 4GHz, Radeon 7970 6Gig, 16 Gig Ram, Win 10 , 250 gig SSD, 40" Screen + 22 inch below, Track Ir, TMWH, Saitek combat pedals & a loose nut behind the stick :thumbup:
