Hi,

I just uninstalled the entire DCS World and reinstalled it and all of my modules. I have purchased the A10c, BS2 Upgrade, FC3 Upgrade, and the Huey. From what I understand I don't need to reactivate anything?

To install all of this, the only one to ask for extra installs was FC3.. It said it could not find my FC original install, so I installed my original CDs and it proceeded. But the BS2 Upgrade install did not ask for BS to be installed before it would proceed. It installed just fine, so I thought I was all done..

Now, every time I try to fly 'any' module (A10c, FC3, etc..), the BlackShark 2 Activation keeps popping up. I looked for my code where I saved all of my activations for everything and I don't have one for the BS2 Upgrade. :(

So, I was thinking that I must have to install my original BS (and FC) everytime I want to just install the current modules? Is there a way around this? Is it possible to get an Activation key for these two modules? Maybe after I install the originals so the game security knows that I do own them?? Or do I have to jump through these hoops every time I need to reinstall?

Thanks,

Snacko

Yes. No. Yes.

The need for LOMAC is a contractual obligation, with Ubisoft, that is not going to change. The need for BS1 is something you agreed to when you bought the BS2 Upgrade.

NOTE: Aside from disk space, there is no reason to uninstall LOMAC or BS1 in the first place, even if you do need to reinstall DCS World. Aside from activation requirements they have no impact on your DCS World install.

Thanks.

Yea, I was low on disk space and saw the original Ka50 in there the other day and deleted it.. It's been there for months and it figures that I delete it 2 days before I actually needed it. Oh well..

I installed the BS1 and DCS Still gives me the Activation Screen for BS2! I was sure that I downloaded the BS2 Upgrade. But since it did 'not' ask me to first install BS1 before it would allow me to install BS2, I am now wondering... Is there any other reason or thing it needs to see that I have BS1 installed?

After comparing the BS2 Upgrade to the normal BS2 downloads, they have the exact same file name, file size, and checksum:

File Name: KA-50_1.2.5.16508.225_241.exe

File Size: 869.8 Mb

MD5: c35b7bb5606fc3e13ecaf74f81b1d768

So, how are we supposed to know which one we have??

PS: BS1 has not asked for any Activation. So I assume it seeks that it has been Activated in the Windows Registry.

Well, never mind. I un-installed the BS2 module, and DCS World's Module Manager asked me if I wanted to install BS2 Upgrade? I said yes, and now I no longer get any Activation screens.

I had this same problem, but upon reinstalling the module, realized you have to choose the type of activation key when it comes up, otherwise it will say yours is invalid.
