Can I still use BS 1 from D2D GameFly with the BS 2 Upgrade?

Today I checked the standing of my DCS copies. Logged in to GameFly (formerly direc2drive, apparently). In my purchase history when I click on the shark v1 it gives me page not found. The CD key is there alright.

 

I've lost touch with the whole DCS modules organization, therefore I ask. Can I still use BS 1 from GameFly with the BS 2 Upgrade purchased in ED store? What about adding BS 2 to Steam in my case? Any chance?

Yes it should still work providing you have a copy of bs1 to install in the first place.

 

With the upgrade you need to have bs1 installed and activated before you can install the bs2 module into dcs world.

 

As for steam no, you need to purchase the entire module again @ $49.99 I think it is on steam. You cant use any upgrade bs2 version in steam.

Hello! yes you can use D2D AND steam blackshark versions for bs2, i have the steam version, and no they don't need to be activated either, they both use different activation methods, so the bs2 upgrade just checks that bs1 is installed, doesn't even need to be activated... same with flaming cliffs 3, all you need is any old copy of lomac/fc/fc2 installed, don't even need a key...
