Headrip Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 I got the A-10C module a couple days ago and as I was flying around doing stuff I noticed that when I use the TGP to set a SPI on a target to help me aim the gun the TGP started spazzing out and losing the target as soon as the gun reticle was on it. It happened in both AREA and POINT modes. I tried looking around for a solution/reason it happens a bit but couldn't find anything, forgive my blindness if it's something obvious. :helpsmilie:
chardly38 Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 I have found that after I find my target I will zoom all the way out on my TGP. Then I will head to the target. If you are zoomed in the closer you get to your target the TGP will move. quyes Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 I'm not sure where you're looking when you notice this problem. If you're looking at the TGP display through the MFD, I'm at a loss as to whats going on. Are you seeing the Gimbal Roll notification?? If you're looking through the HUD are you seeing the SPI and TGP indicators dissappearing when the gun reticle comes over them? If so this is correct and the TGP isn't loosing the target. In the real aircraft the Gun Reticle occludes the SPI and HUD symbology on the HUD.
shagrat Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 do you make the point, the TGP is looking at SPI actually? You need to do a TMS up long. Hold TMS up for about 2 sec. Check the TGP is SOI when setting the SPI, the green frame on the MFCD. If it still moves you may maneuver to violently, the TGP has limits. Try not to roll too much when turning. Quickest way to loose the SPI is to roll the plane 360°...
