installed but P51 will not run -

Anyone -I have been a new owner of DCS-P51 for more than a week now -and I cannot get it to run - I have a DELL XPS Machine Running dual i5 650 x 3.2 ghz, 5 GB Ram, Radeon 5700 graphics card, Windows 7 64 bit. The second I try to open anything i get " the application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b) CLick ok to close the application" DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS?!!! okay so I am a little desperate....

Hello!

 

I can start the multiplayer version, but when I start single user, the launcher.exe pops short up and diappears again.

 

When I try to install the Visual C, I get the message, that a newer Version is already installed.

 

Win 7 Professional 64 Bit

try running the "DCS_updater.exe" in DCS World\bin

Hi!

 

Gives the same result, it is the target of the link "DCS World".

 

I tried to start "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin\DCS.exe" but I get a black screen.

I copied this from the Multiplayer link:

"C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin\DCS.exe" --net-mode gui

Do you get a little box that looks like CMD pop up and then goes away?

Yes, it's name is launcher.exe

If you have a folder on DCS world named _downloads, copy its contents to the DCS world main folder and overwrite. Backup first! This fixed it for me.

The folder exists, but it is empty.

There was a download of 6 GB during install.

One more question, are you using the steam version?

The only thing I can suggest now is a reinstall. Sorry that I couldn't help more, I don't have too much experience with technical support. Perhaps try creating a thread in the "DCS world, bugs and problems, installation problems subforum?
