Hello all and thanks in advance for your help. I'm trying to learn to use the Mission Editor to set up some simple, single player missions. Oddly, I can create a mission to practice landing and taking off. However, when I try to fly, the mission starts with another player's plane. I can't figure how to insert myself into the game. All I can do is watch the other guy fly, which is pretty frustrating. Surely there must be a simple newbie solution which works since I'm a simple-minded guy.

Thanks again,

Cajun Bill

When you select a plane there is a pull down menu under where you select the skill....

Either set it to player or client.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Just to clarify on this post, set the plane skill to Player if you intend to fly the plane in single-player off-line. If you want the plane to be usable in multiplayer, set it's skill to Client. There can only ever be one plane with a skill of Player but there can be multiple planes with the skill of Client.

Thanks a lot, Joey and Skall. That did the trick. I didn't know that about Client and Multiplayer, thanks for telling me. I'd be lost without these forums and guys like you.

Best Regards,

Bill
