Thanks, so when DCS first when into business, there was a free game and one free aircraft

DCS as a brand was around for quite some time before DCS World, which was released around mid 2012, IIRC. DCS A-10 was release around Feb, 2011. DCS: Black Shark, came out well before that.

DCS World already had a significant paid customer base before anything free was released. Note also, when it was released, MP was not supported without a paid module installed.

Should of just given the P51 away for free with some type of agreement from DCS. Its going to be what 2 1/2 years old by the time this thing ships and most of us already have it. Giving away 3 of the most iconic planes of WWII is crazy when people would of been lining up to pay for the BF109 and Spitfire to say the least.

Most kickstarted projects get big bump in funding near the end when time is running short for joining, I think the $150k goal will still be reached.

And if not at this one, then maybe at next kickstarter for expansions..? ;)
