Klunker Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 The controls for my Huey and A10 have all zeroed out except for the logitech stick buttons. Even the ones I saved as separate file names. The are no assignment for even the General setting. It seems that the Game assignement are OK, but not the sims. Can anyone explain what may be my problem. I'm not aware of a single default key setting to restore the controls and as a result, I've had to go through each key and then assign "default" to get my controls working. OT: The Pilots gun sight on the Huey is just a clear glass with no reticule (aiming circles). I've had no luck whatsoever using the forum search engine and don't know if this has already been addressed. Can anyone explain how to get aiming circles.
Klunker Posted October 2, 2013 Author Posted October 2, 2013 Thank you Tute. I would have never have figured that out.
Klunker Posted October 2, 2013 Author Posted October 2, 2013 Thank you Tute. I would have never have figured that out for the pilots sight. Now, I'm still mystified as to why my SIM controls are getting erased for no apparent reason. I'm wondering if it would be helpful to copy the "saved" file someplace else on the cpu and then paste it back in the folder once this situation occurs again? If so, would someone please tell me where the "saved" files are located? I've looked into my mods/aircraft/inputs folder and don't see the controls I've saved. I can't seem to find them anywhere.
Paganus Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Anytime ED adds new controls to the files they need to be re-created from scratch. They have added the kneeboard to all aircraft and the associated controls to use them.

And does this mean I must constantly recreate new keyboard settings for each session?

Yes, I've saved profiles and for some odd reason when I load them they load with the same blank settings.

I would've thought that would only happen if you had not saved them properly in the first place. But then DCS is a bit of a strange beast sometimes. Is there really anybody who completly understands how DCS saves the input settings?! You have saved Games input folders, The DCS World/config input folders, the mods/Aircraft input folders and you personal saved Profiles...this is a blast:) My Specs: I don`t care..it is a Computer..a black one..
