tonym Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 Can anyone tell me how to put course lines on the maps in the Huey sim, as per those in the Huey campaign. Also how do I set up an ADF radio for direction finding to a remote group requiring pickup? Any help much appreciated.
LeadDoctor Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 I'm trying to add FM frequency but can get it to work through triggers and advanced waypoint actions. Neither are working for me. Sabre-TLA Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 The way to set a frequency is to use the Advanced (Waypoint Actions), Perform Command, Set Frequency. However in 1.2.6 frequencies were not working properly. See this thread for more details: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=112739 You can put conditions on when these actions take effect. I use flags mostly to turn options on or off. Not sure what you mean by course lines on the Huey map. If you mean flight waypoints then you can add waypoints when you add the huey in the mission editor. If you mean the images shown at the start of the campaign those are usually just jpg files drawn in an editor. For the ADF beacon, I'm not sure. The documentation shows something called Radio Navigation Beacon as an Icon but I can't find a similar unit that could be placed on a map. There is a deactivate beacon option under Perform Command in the advanced waypoint actions but it appears to be only for tankers: "Deactivate the radio beacon of an air refueling tanker aircraft." You might be able to use Perform Command Transmit Message option and have it play a tone that repeats on a known frequency. I've never tried that to see if it works but would be useful to know if that was true. MapleFlagMissions - Read Our Blog for Updates

You should be able to do the same with AM for the ADI. The tricky part now is finding a good beckon sound.
