doright Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 Is there a way to set a viewpoint at a particular spot then track your aircraft from there? Two reasons I would like to do this are, watch my Huey approach to hover over the numbers, and view from a ground target towards in coming attacker (aka as my A10C).
Corvus Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 You can use free camera mode- LCTRL+F11. Position your camera using mouse and * and / (to move forward and back). To track your plane from that view just press "NUMPAD ," with view pointing toward your plane. My YT channel https://www.youtube.com/user/corvuscorp81

doright Posted October 18, 2013 Author Posted October 18, 2013 Thanks now I r edugmacated. Good to know those beatings with a stupid stick weren't permanent. I always surprise myself when I ask a question how often the answer is simple and right in front of me, I'm just not thinking in the right terms.
TheThumper Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 Still glad you asked the question... I had the FreeTrack view LCtrl+F11 down, but didn't think to do the "Lock View" using Numpad . Good stuff, thanks for the info peoples. ~Thump. Computer Specs: i7-6700K@4.00GHz, 32GB, 850 EVO 1TB, GTX 1080 Ti, Samsung Odyssey VR [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
