Buzpilot Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 I have a 20Mb track recorded, but the interesting things only happened in the end, is it, or will it be possible to just fastforward, and only copy the part I need. Would be very helpful to use to report bugs or anomalies. I know I always could use Fraps and record the last part, but thats really time consuming, and involves youtube too.:( i5 4670 - Sabertooth Z87- GTX Titan - Dell U3011 30" - 2x8GB RAM 1800 - Samsung 840 EVO 512GB SSD - Warthog HOTAS - CH Pro pedals - TrackIR5 - Win7 64bit EVERYTHING IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE

Buzpilot Posted October 18, 2013 Author Posted October 18, 2013 Hum...i missed something...how do you record a flight with DCS please? I'm interested to play back tracks to see my errors :) In user\My Documents\Saved Games\DCS\Tracks\Multiplayer will it automaticly record a track. In singleplay you need to save it manually. cichlidfan Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 If you want to copy just the interesting part then you are going to have to use Fraps, or something to do so (you lost me on how Fraps involves YouTube but...). xaoslaad Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 I think he means to share you need to upload it to Youtube. Considering how big fraps files can be that can take awhile. My suggestion: run it through handbrake to make it way way way smaller and hasten your youtube upload.

( In the Debrief menu) Thanks for this info  You can also open the tracks in the Mission Editor and edit to allow for external views, map views, enemy views, etc. Wow, very interesting and good to know. Buzpilot Posted October 18, 2013 Author Posted October 18, 2013 You dont need FRAPS, you can make videos off the recorded tracks. You can view the tracks as they are with the Replay from Main Menu. You can also open the tracks in the Mission Editor and edit to allow for external views, map views, enemy views, etc. This way you can watch your multiplayer flights with externals/map/labels, even if they weren't enabled when you were flying. You can pause or speed up/slow down the replay with LCTRL Z and LALT Z and Pause. Each and every one of your flights is recorded here: C:\Users\[username]\Saved Games\DCS\Tracks\Multiplayer You may want to clean up that folder, as it's probably a few GBs in size if never deleted. What i meant, is it would be nice if it was possible to edit the tracks directly, to make them usable for sharing here on forum, without using the upload space limit in only one two times. i5 4670 - Sabertooth Z87- GTX Titan - Dell U3011 30" - 2x8GB RAM 1800 - Samsung 840 EVO 512GB SSD - Warthog HOTAS - CH Pro pedals - TrackIR5 - Win7 64bit EVERYTHING IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE
Buzpilot Posted October 18, 2013 Author Posted October 18, 2013 (edited) I'm interested to play back tracks to see my errors :) Best tool to see and learn your errors, is using Tackview, but some servers don't share data. But you can always edit a track to show everything, and then look at the whole track while making a new Tackview file, that reveals anything.( Only units, no triggers) Edited October 18, 2013 by Buzpilot i5 4670 - Sabertooth Z87- GTX Titan - Dell U3011 30" - 2x8GB RAM 1800 - Samsung 840 EVO 512GB SSD - Warthog HOTAS - CH Pro pedals - TrackIR5 - Win7 64bit EVERYTHING IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE

My suggestion: run it through handbrake to make it way way way smaller and hasten your youtube upload. Thanks, didn't know about Handbrake. Now I probably should fast forward my track, and record to show what happened inside cockpit on RWR here too, because I got no warning. i5 4670 - Sabertooth Z87- GTX Titan - Dell U3011 30" - 2x8GB RAM 1800 - Samsung 840 EVO 512GB SSD - Warthog HOTAS - CH Pro pedals - TrackIR5 - Win7 64bit EVERYTHING IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE
