I have the same issue, the screen suddenly goes black for some seconds, then the landscape slowly rebuilds. Buildings also flash black once I get close to them after this freeze.

System is windows 7 64Bit, a completely fresh install. The only thing installed on this system is DCS, so there is nothing that could hog ressources.

I did not have this issue with the same PC, same OS and a lot more software clutter when I last played about 12 months ago (had to take a pause from DCS due to work).

System: 8GB Ram, i5 2500k, Geforce GTX560Ti, Asus P8Z68-V LX Mainboard, Installed on a Samsung SSD.

Have you tried going back and forth with your graphics driver till you find a sweet spot?

I will try that, though strangely I have not had this problem anymore since yesterday... So I will first wait until the problem reappears with the current setup to verify that it is not the graphics driver.

Restarting the PC will get rid of anything in your "Cache" folder also. This sounds like full cache (Among Others).

I used to have this issue with earlier ver. of the Software, I would just restart the PC before I started the Sim. back then. a couple of other titles gave me this issue come to think of it.

I have the same issue with 1.2.8. This really needs to be investigated.

Yeah, it is back now for me too, it looks different though: The screen simply freezes for a second, then goes dark for just an instant, the landscape stays and does not need to be rebuilt. After the dark flash the screen is still frozen for a second or two, then it resumes.

Same system but version 1.28.
