I'm finally able to get through killing the first target but the second target is absolutely impossible for me to catch. After killig the first target it gets extremely evasive. I am supposed to kill it with guns but I just can not catch it. Who has completed this tutorial and can offer some advise?

Much appreciated. I'm going nuts.

Dude, mavericks all the way.

But from what I remember, you fire off one AIM-9 and kill one frog, then go after the second frog in the same manner. Your second AIM 9 should up qued up right after firing the first so its no problem to rapidly shoot the other guy.

BUT, if you are going to chase him down for a guns kill, that's a bit problematic, as he is faster than you.

I think I remember being able to do this when I was starting out by simply getting in close behind them. It's pointless to engage from far away. Really, it is.

So get closer, like stupid close.

Both of your suggestions are valid however, defeat the purpose of the mission. The problem is not the way the mission is laid out, the problem is that the enemy is reacting to the threat and avoiding it.

Here is the same mission but I modified the AI to not react to the threat. I did not test this mission thoroughly so please let me know if there are any issues. There shouldn't be since I only modified their behavior so they should just fly straight and true.
