I get the following message; This application cannot be run under debugger. Deactivate all active debuggers and run the application again. If the error recurs, press "Error report" and send the report to product technical support. And this is what was in the report error: [Error Information] 5.70.47.3; 3007; ES: 1C4, 0 Please can someone explain to me what I have to do? AtaliaA1 Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Some how your icon is set to open the DCS program in Debugger a program for windows programmers. Do other icons open with debugger? If so you can run a restore to reset the applications to their default programs and there is an icon in your start menu under control panel that does this a bit easier. Hopefully this isn't a bug in the update. This was a Boutique Builder iBuypower rig. cichlidfan Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 I did not see this issue, but if the shortcut path is causing the error then a repair will not fix it because the repair will not alter the desktop shortcuts. What does your DCS World shortcut properties list as the target? Leonski Posted November 3, 2013 Author Posted November 3, 2013 Well that's odd, even when I deactivate the game I got the same error! McDonnell Douglas ✮ F-15C Eagle ✮ // USAF 2012 // Raytheon Trophy HD
cichlidfan Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Deactivation isn't really needed since you are going to reinstall. The target path you posted is incomplete (you have to put your cursor in the field and scroll over to see the rest) but it sounds like there is a bigger issue here. Make sure to delete/rename both the install folder and your Saved Games\DCS folder before reinstalling. xaoslaad Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 (edited) Do you have Office XP by any chance? You may have (and need to disable) the Microsoft Debug Manager running the in the background. If not XP could be something similar. If you provide the process list from the task manager people can probably help you better to identify what might be running that is causing the issue. Could possibly be something from a Visual Studio Suite or something similar if you have such a thing installed. OR running a command prompt as administrator and run "bcdedit /debug OFF" to disable the windows debugger and reboot. The great and might $tarforce is trying to protect itself.
