Hi,

For first time in DCS, managed to get my first kill without any labels! :cheer3nc:

Might sound stupid to some virtual pilots here, but with high resolution (2560X1440) and my half century's eyes now, it's a real challenge to spot and follow something in DCS...

In others sims, i used to fly and fight without labels (i.e ROF has excellent dot rendering - but planes are slower though), but in DCS the last past weeks i was kind of desesperate to never beeing able to turn labels off.

Now it's done, but using this nice label/DOT mod: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/270020/

Anyone tried it?

Is there a better way to fly without labels?

Found a HDR Mod to get rid of the haze. Use the latest Modman to install it.

Me too it is a pain without the labels. More fun would be to turn off the F10 map and run missions like the 104th does it. Then you guys would never find the enemy... AI will find you, no problem, just keep looking back.

I turned my resolution down to 1600 x 900 . My Aspect Ratio is the same as stock. If the Aspect Ratio differs much, the round dials or anything circular become ellipses. Lower resolution demands less computational energy as to algorithms and rendering and I can see better.

Fifi, I tried that Mod and it put my head so low in the cockpit I couldn't see the pipper on the sight and could not look behind me. HT

Exceptional engineering...and a large hammer to make it fit!

Yup. That one. I was so low in the seat, I couldn't use the sight or see around the seat armor. Went back to default and it's fine again. Can't explain it.

Yeah, that's weird cause this mod only touch the label.lua

I'm using it with PeterP proper neck mod, and all seems fine.

Though, if position is to low, you always can raise a bit the cockpit camera to be fine again?
