Gloom Demon Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 What do the numbers in brackets on the debrief screen mean after the name of the weapon used? In this case I fired 3 S-25L's. In this particular flight I shot 3 S-25L's at a ship, presumably the (3) after the С-25Л implies that, however why is it that there is a 4 and not a 5 after the ship was hit? Same with the second ship - it's 3 vice 4. Maybe the 5 and 4 are not hits, but what do they mean? Nate--IRL-- Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 It is the number of S-25 rockets hitting the target during that second. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
Gloom Demon Posted November 27, 2013 Author Posted November 27, 2013 (edited) Well, that's the problem - the Su-25T cannot carry 9 S-25L's (4+5). And I only shot 3 at each target in two separate runs - where did the other 3 come from? 8-() Edited November 27, 2013 by Gloom Demon AMD Ryzen 3600, Biostar Racing B850GT3, AMD Rx 580 8Gb, 16384 DDR4 2900, Hitachi 7K3000 2Tb, Samsung SM961 256Gb SSD, Thrustmaster T.Flight HOTAS X, Samsung S24F350 24'
Grimes Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Explosive ordinance is capable of hitting and damaging more than one object. You fired 3 rockets, between those 3 rockets they hit 5 objects. Assuming there are at least 2 targets that you shot at, those numbers are easily possible. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. Gloom Demon Posted November 27, 2013 Author Posted November 27, 2013 Does that mean that one target consists of several objects? I do not understand. Grimes Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Its possible the explosion of the rockets fired damaged the other rockets before impact. Aside from that I'm not sure if the ships that have bits that can explode separately count those parts as separate objects. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.
