SFAL Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 (edited) Hi all this is a new problem as far i know.. after connecting to a server which takes 10x longer than normal i wont be able to select any aircraft to fly. to narrow down what i have and what i tried: - fresh install of DCS and all modules after scrubbing all related files. - latest update - direct x and cc+ reinstall - port forwarding - router reset - deactivation and reactivation of modules so after clicking on aircraft it wont put me that slot and it seems that no movement or unit placement is visible in game world after spectating airfields etc. i don`t get new players registered coming in or anything.... It seems that there is an issue with syncronisation... Edited November 30, 2013 by SFAL
SFAL Posted December 3, 2013 Author Posted December 3, 2013 So to make things more wired I can connect after 12pm(UK).... but not before.... how f-ed up is that? i called my isp and they see no problem... no connection drop since oktober the 3rd.... i can use other games online... any time of day.... can someone please give me and idea where to look?
ENO Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 (edited) Hmmmm... I've seen a few instances where it is a step in between your ISP and the master server that is causing the problem. Try something like pingplotter to trace your data back and forth from the master server... you might find that one of the points in between is having issues. Also, in your corrective actions I don't see that you deleted / renamed your saved games / dcs folder. This will be re-written when you restart the game and will rewrite your network information. This has been a solution for many problems. Edited December 3, 2013 by ENO "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art
SFAL Posted December 3, 2013 Author Posted December 3, 2013 Hi thanks for bothering... missed it in my first post :) -fresh install of DCS and all modules after scrubbing all related files. Yes even the saved games folder..... i had a look on pingploter.... not sure if i need this but will give it a try. I had a a very good ping and no pocket loss either......
SFAL Posted December 3, 2013 Author Posted December 3, 2013 ENO do u know the ip for the master server? thanks
SFAL Posted December 3, 2013 Author Posted December 3, 2013 Ok i have the IP.... so what am I looking for? I have one where there is a 100%packet loss....and a another at 60% round trip is 39/47
ENO Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 (edited) Hmmm well I'm not guru but I'm going to say that getting 100% packet loss is a bad thing. There's another thread around here on the subject... I'll see if I can find it. Wrecking crew was trying to sort out one of his issues with his server. Edit: I think I found it but it was over at simhq and didn't really touch on solutions. Edited December 4, 2013 by ENO "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret.
