Nealius Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 (edited) I have been listening to the Red Flag radio recordings here and I hear a few brevity words that I can't find in the APP-07E, Operational Brevity Words, Multi-Service Brevity Codes, or the internet in general. VACUUM: ex. "Tiger 8-1, vacuum SA-6, bull 248 19, tracking." FIESTA: ex. "<callsign> is fiesta." FALLOUT: ex. "<callsign> is fallout." EXECUTE: (directive?) "...25 miles, execute..." Anybody know what they mean? I also have a question about general radio phraseology. How is taxi/takeoff/landing phraseology handled in the USAF? Is it similar to FAA/ICAO phraseology or totally different? Edited December 20, 2013 by Nealius

Nealius Posted December 20, 2013 Author Posted December 20, 2013 Well, I found from a source that VACUUM is classified...so I guess we'll never know that one. Any ideas on the others?
ENO Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Is that all in the same conversation or is it just random intervals? I suppose I could just listen to it... lol "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art
Nealius Posted December 21, 2013 Author Posted December 21, 2013 They were all from this sortie, mostly after the ~9 minute mark.
