Warhog Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 I am running Helios with DCS 1.2.6. I would like to set up Helios to work with 1.2.7 which is in a different folder on a different drive. If I tell Helios where to look for the DCS 1.2.7 folder, will it stop working with 1.2.6? Also does anyone know if the EMC program is going to be reconfigured to point to the new DCS 1.2.7 when one wants to setup new exports since the folder names are now different from the old DCS 1.2.6 install. DeJohn Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Why did you put 1.2.7. on a different drive! Had you installed it in the same Eagle Dynamics folder as 1.2.6. Helios would work just fine.

Helios would work just fine. I guess you haven't installed 1.2.7 yet because if you did you would see that the names of the main directory are DIFFERENT than the 1.2.6 install. And it doesn't matter where it's installed because the point is ...will Helios allow itself to be directed to 2 separate locations of DCS. I would really appreciate productive reply's to my query. leoakirakblo Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 Thats i worried about! I'm not install the 1.2.7 yet because the helios work issues. I set the mine recently with eyefinity+touchscreen monitor... Meanwhile the right 1.2.7 (not beta) is launched, i still training with this one! Thank's G00dnight for your reply!
FlyNate Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 Actually, I got it working fine. Copy your Scripts and Inputs folders from your DCS folder in User/Saved Games. Then paste them into the OpenBeta one. The only issue I have found is the wingmen don't do anything I tell them, lol. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
whartsell Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Helios only needs to know the location of DCS for the initial creation of the export lua when you define add the DCS-A10C interface. After that it doesnt care. you can go back and forth at will. if for some reason you need to do something to the interface and it complains about the location you have two options... 1. just point it to the director of where your current install is or 2. copy the helios profile and have one for each version.
