I have Comcast and there test sight states that its good but ATT test sight states its low. It been taken 1 hour to down load 400mb where a month ago was alot less. SpeedTests will test you're connection in optimal/best case scenarios, but if the server you are downloading from is located on the other side of the earth and has limited upstream bandwidth, your download is gonna go slow. july865 Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Practically all of those test sites will show burst length of your internet speeds, and will report back what your provider advertised to you when you signed up and are not accurate for what you REALLY want to know. There are too many factors in getting good speed readings, but what you are actually interested in should be what your "sustained" speeds are. Those readings are taken over time and plotted. Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, are generally good sites to plot what kind of sustained download speeds you are generally getting for non enterprise systems tests. If you have a Google drive, upload large files/folders and plot your upload over several days. Then download them and plot your d/l the same way. SkateZilla Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 I have 250Mb/sec Down and 75mb/sec Up :p If i run speed test sites I get 400+ Mb/sec down and 90+ Mb/sec up. The download number is off because of ISP Turbo Features.
