woodsglen Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Note.. until I launch DCS world.. everything is normal.. mouse works on all three screens. I had the monitors set up as one big 2d... then went to three desktops with the center screen being the main desktop.. the mouse works on all three Now Enter DCS World... I have uninstalled and installed DCS world probably 3 times, skipped installing any of the other programs I purchased, disabled every program that may be running, and my mouse only runs on the two outside monitors ( desktops ) but disappears on the main display (probably behind) DCS world. I get a mouse over on the main screen on the menu on the right hand side.. if i go to ... options ( for example) Once I leave that screen - and go to options, for example.. there is no control over any input at all. the only key that works is Enter! the only resort is CTRL ALT DELETE and go the to task manager and get out of the out of DCS world launcher. WHAT THE HECK is my problem? My system: I have a quad core AMD 635, 16 gigs of ram evga video card gt640 /2gig GPU windows 7 home premium. 3 identical dell 24in 1080dpi monitors a thrustmaster warthog flightstick and throttle, saitek combat rudders (ALL Disconnected to make sure they weren't causing the problem) The only thing hooked up is the mouse and the keyboard at this point. I even just updated my nvidia drivers to the latest and tried it again ..just in case!.. No Luck! i am so sick of this. I have never experienced anything like this and I can't find anything on searches that comes close to my problem. Everything DOES WORK with FSX! go figure. I even uninstalled FSX to make sure there were no conflicts. I've been building a cockpit with a leather bucket seat, mounted throttle, joystick in the center position.. the whole 9 yards and purchased the DCS World modules like flaming cliffs 3 (yes I purchased lockon)... also the huey, P51 and the A10C... right after Christmas, so .. Waiting to fly this thing is a major understatement!) I uninstalled everything including lockon and dcs world... so all I have is just DCS world and I still can't do anything but look at the screen. I have two teenage boys and they can't figure it out either! I'm listening! Thanks. Wayne
The_Pharoah Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 I've had this problem from the beginning and its annoying. it only seems to occur on the main login screen and/or when I'm reading the briefing screen. very annoying. AMD AM4 Ryzen7 3700X 3.6ghz/MSI AM4 ATX MAG X570 Tomahawk DDR4/32GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600mhz/1TB 970 Evo SSD/ASUS RTX2070 8gb Super
RedRain Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Same, multi monitor thing I think. Ctrl alt del then cancel, restores cursor, well it does until next time.

Yeah I know but its very annoying, esp when ingame and I've brought up the briefing screen to get some important info (only to realise I can't see the mouse cursor) AMD AM4 Ryzen7 3700X 3.6ghz/MSI AM4 ATX MAG X570 Tomahawk DDR4/32GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600mhz/1TB 970 Evo SSD/ASUS RTX2070 8gb Super
RedRain Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Yeah I know but its very annoying, Agree, there's an option in mouse settings that rings your invisible cursor when you press Ctrl or something like that ? Best work around I can advise at present. Had this issue a long time, ever since setting up triple monitors.
The_Pharoah Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Got it again last night and couldn't do anything on the main screen so had to CTRL-ALT-DEL and then jump back in. *sigh* its a pain but I still love DCS so I'll ignore for now. Hopefully they'll fix it. AMD AM4 Ryzen7 3700X 3.6ghz/MSI AM4 ATX MAG X570 Tomahawk DDR4/32GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600mhz/1TB 970 Evo SSD/ASUS RTX2070 8gb Super
FlyDoc Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 I am having the same issue, but cannot get it rectified by alt-tab to windows and back. Here are some details. Setup: Intel core I7 -4820k, 16 GB Ram, twin GTX-780's (3GB), with three ACER 27" monitors and 3 ACER 23" touchscreens, running Win 8.1. Everything works, including touchscreens, until the mission loads. Then the mouse and touchscreens no longer function. The Warthog HOTAS joystick and all buttons, etc. work. The graphics function perfectly on all 6 screens. If I use one monitor, or configure any 3 monitors in surround mode, then the mouse works fine in all phases of the simulation. If I use three touchscreens in surround mode, the touch functions, but cannot be calibrated due to Windows limitations, not DCS. Any advice would really be appreciated. I am new to DCS and know that I am pushing the limits with the setup. I suspect this is a multi-monitor problem with the software. The question is if there is a work around?
FlyDoc Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 I stumbled into a solution for my problem. Don't know if it will help anyone else, but just in case... I set my three upper 27" monitors in surround mode in the NVIDIA software and simply set the resolution to 5760 X 2160 to cover all 6 monitors in the options menu of DCS. Everything works fine now. Unless I set the upper three monitors in surround mode, the mouse does not work when starting the mission, even though the graphics seem to display properly on all 6 monitors.
