SwingKid Posted February 12, 2006 Posted February 12, 2006 I translated it for you, you silly :p Note that the ability to shoot using optical guidance instead of radar is what they chose to name, "defense against Shrike and Standard ARM". -SK
Force_Feedback Posted February 12, 2006 Posted February 12, 2006 Note that the ability to shoot using optical guidance instead of radar is what they chose to name, "defense against Shrike and Standard ARM". -SK The staions had defensive measures from active jamming, and also had means to track the target in jamming, because of the combination in using radar and optical means of the combat vehicle. Because of these combinations, spreading of working frequencies of the station, reglamented by time or simultaneous workings at close repetition rate of seperation from one and other (of Tunguska vehicles) at a distance not bigger than 200 m from eachother, a couple (few) vehicles in the battery collumn (remember, the tung is part of the ground forces, so it is usually in groups with other armor) could facilitate a reliable defense against missiles of the type "Shrike" or "Standard ARM". ^^^Litteral translation. Please tell me where in that paragraph they say that only the optical system is used? Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:

EvilBivol-1 Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 T'was a good guess then. Thanks. - EB [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Nothing is easy. Everything takes much longer. The Parable of Jane's A-10 Forum Rules
Force_Feedback Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Page 17, second column, second paragraph. -SK AFAIK missiles don't have ECM systems on their own, so why do you think that only the optical system is used for missile defense? Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
SwingKid Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 AFAIK missiles don't have ECM systems on their own, so why do you think that only the optical system is used for missile defense? A puzzler indeed... It's almost as if the "proof" isn't talking about shooting down missiles at all... -SK
S77th-GOYA Posted February 14, 2006 Author Posted February 14, 2006 After further testing in an online mission I can. without a doubt, say that Tunguskas are still killing Mavericks. I have no idea why they didn't in the earlier SP mission, but they were destroying Mavs left and right in this last test. Both test missions were fresh made with 1.12.
