No healthy Virtual Wing can thrive without the growth and success realized through near-continuous recruitment of dedicated and like-minded individuals that want something more out of their DCS experience. USLANTCOM strives to be professional in everything we do, going above and beyond to ensure that our members have an amazing experience in every area of our interactions. The way we accomplish this is partly achieved by asking that new members have spent at least some time in DCS, having learned basic aircraft operations and therefore ask that new recruits are over 18 years of age, and able to complete the following prerequisites:
■ Be able to Cold and Dark start their airframe
■ Be able Taxi and Take off (Fixed Wing) or Hover, Hover Taxi and depart (Rotary Wing)
■ Be able to navigate to the Tanker and top off in a reasonable amount of time (fixed wing) or Navigate a prebuilt flight plan (Rotary Wing)
■ Be able to return to and land at an airfield
The tasks above are not part of our training and a bevy of video tutorials and single-player missions are available to help new pilots accomplish the aforementioned tasks in a reasonable amount of time with some self-study. Training only begins here however. After acceptance and onboarding you will enter the squadron training programs of your particular airframe of choice.
If you believe you would able to demonstrate these abilities on a checkride with a USLANTCOM Instructor Pilot, and agree to the Code of Conduct attached here, we would highly encourage you to apply at www.uslantcom.com and take the next steps into joining a truly amazing group of virtual pilots and support staff.
There is no advantage to saying that there will not be work involved, but we are confident that the experience will be second-to-none.
If you have any more questions please feel free to send us an email at USLANTCOM@gmail.com.
