  1. Bullitt, Mumbles, Thanks a bunch!! That's awesome. I had guessed at around 110mm height and whatever 9.25" is in mm for length! Looking forward to getting on with this. probably next part I'll mess around with after this is the fire handles, 3D printed of course, Just got some yellow PLA and some more black delivered, annoyingly though I need to re-tram the bed and I'm working for the next 4 days. Then the Mrs has decided we're going away for the weekend, and then my old man wants to go fishing before I go back to work. Definitely have to try and squeeze a couple of hours play time in somewhere. Anyway, bed time for me, thanks again, much appreciated you sharing your files.
  2. Does anyone have dimensions for the ACM panel front please? I'm working on TLAR but, don't seem to be able to get it. Once I've got the front part designed in Inkscape, I'll share the Files. I'm also working at making an accurate looking switch for the Gun rate, SW cool, MSL prep and mode buttons. I was watching someone do Korry buttons/switches for an Airbus or Boeing simulator and I thought that I could use a similar design. I'm basing it on a square momentary switch and two LEDs per button. I was thinking about small custom PCBs too, but I think it would be better just doing it with those copper boards with holes in. Guess that would be more accessible for other people too
  3. It wasn't supposed to be like this today!!! 3D printer is being a twat. It's something to do with the CR touch unit but I don't have time to sort it now. Then I've just ran the warning light panel fronts off on the laser cutter, Painted, rear engraved, great. But No!! I used raster engrave instead of vector engrave so they're all crap. oh well, I'm off work again Wednesday so It'll have to wait until then. in the meantime the hound is mithering me for a walk! have a good Easter everyone!
  4. Very welcome, Hope they are some use!
  5. Been messing around with this last couple of days... printed these off again and decided they could be better. Updated AoA indexer (thinner case) and Warning lights case (back is thicker) Off a few days next week so I'm thinking about the individual glare shields that these units have, and the Korry style buttons that the ACM panel has. Just please be aware that if you use these stl files, they are the boxes only and will still need a face. Those are in the Hud light set svg file above. AOA Indexer v2.stl Hud Warning LightsV2.stl
  6. Hello! It has been a while.... I'm still not much further forward with my own building work (side panels for the ejection seat are cut but that's about it!) but I am very much enjoying looking at all your stuff. some absolutely fantastic building going on guys. I'm itching to get sorted out and I've been doing quite a bit of thinking about how I'd do certain things when I got to them. A little while back I built an AOA Indexer that was running on an arduino. it was all cut from acrylic sheet and I don't know why I didn't think of doing it with a 3d printer sooner. Anyway, I got hold of a 3D printer and I've just printed off the Indexer... Pretty happy with it, just needs wiring up. I've also designed the other Hud Warning lights and I'm adding to this post should they come in handy for anyone. The face plate will need to be cut from acrylic or Perspex but the body is much better as a 3d print. The face plate in these pictures was a test and the one in the file is better looking in my opinion, but I was just testing the fit and it seems to work well. I've slightly damaged the side here too trying to rake the support material out rather than going to the garage to get the pointy nose pliers! anyway, hope it comes in handy. **Edit** Holes in the back are set for 3mm LEDS but feel free to modify if needed! HUD Light Set is the Laser cutter files for the front plates. The STLs are the enclosures for the warning lights either side of the glare shield Hud Light Set.svg AOA Indexer.stl Hud Warning Lights.stl Stall lights.stl
  7. Just messing around in various instant action scenarios. On Weapons Range; Marianas default weather is poor (rain/sleet) taking off from a ship. I activated the wipers and they did nothing to the rain on the windscreen. Not sure if this is a bug/not implemented or a well modelled feature! Thanks
  8. Same issue, Not sure about cardinal direction, but the rockets that you start off with in the easy ground attack mission on the PG map come out of the helo and go 90 degrees right to the start direction. Also did an update today, this hasn't changed anything.
  9. @No1sonuk Hey, Just thought I'd let you know that the encoder and the BU0836 work a treat! I had considered making a panel for the huey with the most used controls on it, still might do at some point, but for now this works great. I'm just gonna jump in and fly that mission that i've been unable to complete. Thanks again for the help, Much appreciated
  10. I've had a look and the Huey indeed does have binds available for the ADF frequency change. I've downloaded the software and I'll have a play with it tomorrow. Thanks for the assistance!
  11. Hi there, Thanks for the response! The link to the panel I'm interested in is https://www.cruzdesanandres.com/foro/viewtopic.php?f=10&p=168709#p168709 I do have a couple of nanos lying around, so would be able to move to one of those, I just had the Mega at hand at the time and i've used it before to sort of prototype the AOA light in the Tomcat, Thankfully that was just a case of copy and paste the code snippets. My collective is 3d printed parts mounted on a piece of pipe and interfaced with a BU0836 from Leo Bodnar. The files I got from thingiverse and have been modified to look more like a Huey collective head. It's not amazing and I'll be buying a commercial one probably in the next few months, but if you're interested, this is the link to the 3d printer files I started with. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5226353 Many Thanks
  12. Hi! I'd like to set up a basic input to chang ethe ADF freq in the Huey. I'm trying to fly the soldier rescue mission in the campaign and at the point where he directs you to change the adf freq he doesnt take the controls and the helo crashes. I've also tried using active pause, but as the diy collective i've made doesnt stay up, it also crashes when i restart. Simple solution i thought, Use a rotary encoder to change the adf freq through an arduino mega and dcs bios. And herein lies the problem.... I don't know a thing about code, dcs bios web interface does'nt seem to be helpful in this instance and i've had a search about with not much luck. A spanish guy has made the full panel but i don't understand spanish enough to get the code i need in order for the encoder to work..... Can anyone help at all please? I'd love to understand why the code works too. muchas gracias!
  13. I was trying to complete the mosquito landing tutorial but I noticed that the view does not seem to be able to be changed. The ALT+C command works because the crosshair becomes visible for operating controls however, looking around and changing view is not responding to mouse inputs. The default view is too high in the cockpit also. Anyone else have this problem? I'm running latest OB. EDIT - it seems that pressing Numpad 5 Unlocks the view. also true for bombing run tutorial. EDIT 2 - I completed the tutorial, but each time it goes on active pause (automatically for the tutorial) the view jumps to the high cockpit view as if you're looking up through the canopy at around a 45 degree angle.
  14. Hey, I know this post is a fair age now, but has anyone had any further luck with this? I've got the same TM1637 6 digit 7 segment display. I was hoping to have a mess around with it and see if i can get it to work. I don't have any coding knowledge either, but i'll certainly have a go!
  15. Ah you're a good man! Thanks so much. Hopefully it doesn't rain tomorrow and I'll get the tools out. Finally get some physical progress with this thing. I'll add some photos as soon as there is progress! Thanks again, really appreciate it
  16. @MAXsenna It is my hope that someday Virpil decide to make one.
  17. Looking awesome! Where did you find the switch covers?
  18. How do you find it? I've looked around a bit and they seem to be the only one producing an F-14 throttle at the moment. Obviously price is a consideration and I'm aware that it's about $800 which I wouldn't mind spending if the quality was excellent, but I've heard some mixed reports.
  19. Hi Mumbles, That would be amazing, thank you so much! In terms of Lumber, plywood here I think you can get in 3mm, but more common is 6, 12 and 18mm. I've not seen 24mm advertised anywhere. I think MDF comes in 6mm, 12mm, 9mm and 18mm. We also get OSB which is oriented strand board in 11mm and 18mm. The price of plywood here has pretty much doubled since COVID. I used to get a 1200x2400 sheet of 12mm for just over £20, it's now around £40, which is just crazy, However, if that is what will give me the best quality results, then that is what I'll be using. MDF doesn't really like any level of humidity variation being as it's just sawdust held together with glue. Anyway, I'm rambling again! Hope you have a great day and thanks again
  20. Afternoon Gents, hope all is well. Finally getting around to getting some bits done for the cockpit, although at the moment, it is only drawing the panels up in Inkscape. I've completed the HUD warning light set (both sides) and most of the panels for the right side console. Currently got the Tacan and Radio left to do... Radio was almost complete yesterday but inkscape decided to crap itself and I hadn't saved it I've just made a decent little find on ebay which a CD that has full scale images of the A and B model pits. They can be printed out and measured up to give accurate dimensions on all panels, dials, and just about everything else. Its a little pricey (£45 with postage to the UK) but I am considering it. I've just been looking at the sketchUp file that Ausmumbles so kindly provided as I had hoped to maybe start on the ejction seat this weekend, but I can't quite figure out how to pull everything apart in order to get measurements. Any advice on that would be greatfully recieved I've had a flick through theis thread again today and it looks like there is being some good work done! Definitley Inspiring me to get on with it! 07 James
  21. Hi Rusky, I only have a single stage trigger so that isn't the problem, but thanks for the suggestion. I do tend to fly the Huey quite regularly and haven't changed any bindings recently, it's only since the last update. I maybe should have checked some of my other modules to see if they have the same issue too.
  22. Hey, I updated today and have been playing around in the Huey. when I press the trigger to fire the miniguns they stay on until the trigger is pressed again, rather than only firing whilst the trigger is held. I've restarted, and re-bound the control but issue persists.
  23. Hi Flappie, Yes that does seem to have done the trick, Many Thanks
  24. Hey, after the latest update i'm having an issue where on launch dcs is running, but only my desktop screen is shown. I cant use the ctrl shift esc command to open task manager, but alt ctrl del does work and this then brings up DCS. whilst desktop is showing no mouse movements are detectable and no other key commands seem to work (almost as if pc is frozen) but the title music is playing in the background. Not had this issue previously and i havent installed any other software on the pc, nor do i have any active TP mods. Log file is included and my pc is R7 3700x, gtx1660 super, 32gb 3200mhz ram, and 2Tb ssd (iirc) dcs.log
  25. After another couple of hours practice, I managed to set her down! Got 3 landings one after the other, 3 wire first, then 2x 1 wire. Jester wasn't happy but I was!
