  1. My game is currently detecting the release as a key press, so that "Modifier + L" is doing Modifier +L and L. Any ideas on how to fix this?
  2. Is development on this software still active?
  3. I wanted to ask if you could add an option to utilize the right and left windows buttons as a modifier button, like the right and left control or alt buttons. IL-2 Great Battles, uses them by default. Thanks. I appreciate your time.
  4. There is a setting that will automatically load the last used profile.
  5. Thanks. I'll try that.
  6. Is there a way to set a keypress to be held down the entire time you hold down a button?
  7. @Avantar Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! A thousand times Thank you for writing this! Ever since I upgraded from my CH Products HOTAS to a set of VIRPILs. I've been looking for a quality Key Mapper program to use in place of the CH Control Panel. I've been trying to use Joystick Gremlin but couldn't get it to behave the way I wanted it to. Your program has proven to work wonderfully. Your newly added profile feature allows me to setup one file for each game with multiple profiles for the different aircraft. The new import feature even means that, with some fiddling, I can build a base profile and duplicate it by renaming the file and importing the base profile multiple times. Thank you. I'd buy you a beer if there was a way to make a donation.
  8. No, to both. I don't use a VPN nor do I use Avast. *edit* Thanks for mentioning the Virus Scanner. Disabling that during the install did it.
  9. Ok, I'm trying to Re-Install DCS. I keep getting installation errors. This time I got one that says "Failed to wait for parent process to exit" Any idea's or fixes for this? *Edit* Re-booted the PC, restarted the install update and got the following error: "Curl error (6): Couldn't resolve host name Ideas or fixes?
  10. Thanks. I thought about that when I requested it and the axis not matching the position of the axis in game. If someone were building a pit, a readout of the Emergency Wing-sweep handle that we could translate to a motor position would replicate the spider movement I think. However, even with out that a bind-able button press to toggle the pull on the Emergency Wing Sweep Axis and a bind-able button press to put the wings in and out of over-sweep would serve the purpose that is needed by those of us that don't want to use the clickable cockpit for landing and take-off.
  11. Well, I've got 3 27" monitors. I don't think the Obutto would hold 3 55" TV's. Lol.
  12. Thank you. I'll look at Helios. It looks like a great option to try.
  13. Ok, so I came across code that is supposed to be able to add bindings for the F-14 B's emergency wing sweep handle. -- 1) a button to open the cover and extend the handle, for which the code looks like this: { up=device_commands.WINGSWEEP_EmergencyLeverExtended, down=device_commands.WINGSWEEP_EmergencySweepCover, cockpit_device_id=devices.WINGSWEEP, value_up=1.0, value_down=1.0, name=_('Emergency Wing Sweep Open & Extend'), category=_('Throttle')}, -- 2) a button to bring the wings to 68 degrees sweep, lock the handle and close the cover: { up=device_commands.WINGSWEEP_EmergencySweepCover, down=device_commands.WINGSWEEP_EmergencySweepLever, pressed=device_commands.WINGSWEEP_EmergencyLeverExtended, cockpit_device_id=devices.WINGSWEEP, value_down=0.30, value_pressed=0.0, value_up=0.0, name=_('Emergency Wing Sweep to 68°, Lock & Close'), category=_('Throttle')}, -- 3) a button to do the same as 2, except closing the cover: { up=device_commands.WINGSWEEP_EmergencyLeverExtended, down=device_commands.WINGSWEEP_EmergencySweepLever, cockpit_device_id=devices.WINGSWEEP, value_up=0.0, value_down=0.30, name=_('Emergency Wing Sweep to 68° & Lock'), category=_('Throttle')}, -- 4) a button to bring the handle to oversweep and extend the handle: { up=device_commands.WINGSWEEP_EmergencyLeverExtended, down=device_commands.WINGSWEEP_EmergencySweepLever, cockpit_device_id=devices.WINGSWEEP, value_up=1.0, value_down=0.0, name=_('Emergency Wing Sweep to Oversweep & Extend'), category=_('Throttle')}, -- Wingsweep lever {down = device_commands.WINGSWEEP_EmergencyLeverExtended, up=device_commands.WINGSWEEP_EmergencyLeverExtended, cockpit_device_id=devices.WINGSWEEP, value_down = 0.3, value_up = 1.0, name=_('Emergency Wing Sweep Lever Toggle'), category=_('Throttle')}, {action = device_commands.WINGSWEEP_EmergencySweepLever, cockpit_device_id=devices.WINGSWEEP, name=_('Emergency Wing Sweep')}, The problem for me is, I'm not sure where I"m supposed to put this or which file I need to modify in order to add this binding to my list of controls. Anyone that can help provide me with some direction? Thank you in advance for any help you can provide. I really appreciate it.
  14. What did you do to be able to bind the Wing Sweep lever?
  15. I didn't see it on the updated list on the OP so I'm mentioning it specifically here. Especially since it is required for a cold start. I'd like to see the following please: Button Bind: Emergency Wing Sweep Handle (Move Forward) Emergency Wing Sweep Handle (Move Back) Axis Bind: Emergency Wing Sweep Handle
  16. Where would I make such a suggestion?
  17. That would truly be a terrible over site on Heatblur's part, since that would mean we can't possibly do a cold start without using the mouse to 'click' on cockpit in some way.:cry: I mean, I've got more than 150 buttons that can be set and 18 analogue axis. It would be a truly dismal thing to tell me that I can't perform a cold start because one of the necessary commands to do so can not be bound to one of those controls.
  18. Ok, I'm sure it's right in front of my face and if it were a snake I'd be long dead, but I can't seem to find a way to bind the Emergency Wing Sweep Handle. Can someone point me to the control so I can bind this to a spare axis or button that I have? Thank you in advance for your help. I hate the idea of any mouse and keyboard use for a flight sim, especially with all the control options that we have these days.
  19. Many years ago I came across a program called Touchbuddy that could be used to build custom touch screen menu's to use as game controllers for any number of video games. It seems that between then and now (when I have the money and touch screens aren't all insanely expensive) that support and development for that particular piece of software is gone. Does anyone have any recommendations on software that can be used to build custom game controllers out of a touch screen monitor?
  20. Thank you for these. I really appreciate it. The maps will prove very useful.:pilotfly: Now to spend hours and hours plotting out my control maps for DCS and IL-2. :D :joystick:
  21. I don't know. I've never used a curved 43" monitor, so I don't have a point of reference. I think it is a matter of personal preference. I've seen reviewers that prefer a single ultra-wide monitor. I had people who said that is the way I should go. What I can say for certain is that each of my monitors viewing area measures 24" x 13.5". So the total is 70" x 13.5". The total resolution when I play a game is 7680x1440 and max refresh rate is 144hz. Depending on the game I usually manage in excess of 60fps. I have no problems running IL-2 BoX at high graphics settings and get great frame rates. Here is a review for the monitor I have: You'll need to do your own research and decide for yourself. It was not an easy decision for me to reach. I want to say I spent at least 6 months researching and weighing the pro's and con's of each side before I reached my decision. It is a personal choice. Part of the reason behind my decision was money. To get the same kind of screen real estate as I have now, at similar resolutions would have cost me an extra $200.
  22. I have 1 EVGA Nvidea 2070 Super. It has 3 display port outputs. It's not like in the old days of gaming on multiple monitors. DCS supports the resolution natively and it seamlessly adapts to the setup. I don't have to even enable Nvidea's special feature to use 3 monitors as 1, like you do in some games. I just set the resolution in DCS at 7680x1440 and it runs just fine. I should probably mention that while I have played full missions of IL-2 BoX on high graphics settings without any issues. I have not yet flown a loaded up mission of DCS. I've been waiting on my upgraded flight sim gear to get in so I only have to plan 1 control setup and learn only 1 control setup, so I can't say for certain if DCS in mission will give me any problems or not. I do have a water cooled Core I9 9900k running at 5Ghz though.
  23. I currently run 3 27" monitors: 27" Viotek GFT27DB. They are 1440p 144Hz gaming monitors w/FreeSync. You need a stout system to push them at acceptable frame-rates in DCS but short of VR I don't think you can get better immersion. On Amazon they list for $269 so they are really well priced for what they can do. I've been very happy with them.
  24. Yeah, I was planning to do that. Keep the controls mostly the same on all 3 of the Navy Aircraft I have purchased. I just don't have a clue about jet fighters and what commands I should focus on. I've only played WWII combat flight sims before now so I don't know what the most commonly used commands are and that sea of over 600 bindables list is more than a little confusing to a new player. To make matters worse, all my controls show up in the binding table with no way to remove any of them from the list. This means that my Fanatec pedals for my racing sim and my X-Box controller for general game use are showing up to help add to the confusion.
  25. I saw those, thank you. I will definetly start with them. While I won't claim that I'll remember 100+ button functions off the bat, using a binding map for reference, I have found that muscle memory is an amazing thing and after a while I will learn them. I have Voice-Attack. I was planning to try to use this for the Jester menu and to communicate with ground. Are those the comms menu F1 to F10 that you are referring to? I also plan on using Joystick Gremlin to setup my commands so I'll have macros available with a single button press.
