https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HYMfHDogl3Q&feature=youtu.be I have followed the instructions exactly as per the manual and the video wags put out. Am I missing something or skipping something? Every JSOW misses, flies directly over the target then makes 180* turn

Depending on altitude and air density.. yes.. suddenly hitting the wind will destroy you. I am active skydiver and have jumped from DC-9, 200 knot exit speed is pretty brutal. From zero to.. bam.... Per the other guy talking about the skydiver that hit mach.. he was MUCH higher than the SR-71 could fly. It is worth noting that in the skydiver manual prior to him doing that jump the effects of supersonic flight were unknown on the human body. It makes sense that when going faster than the speed of sound you are past the shock wave so it will not affect. However in the case of ejecting at high speed... you would not come out of it in good health.

Punching out at mach speed should kill the pilot. Just sayin... There was a story of F-15 pilot that survived, but it seriously F***** him up.

Standby ADI does not match HUD or will stay tumbled after aerobatic maneuvers.

Nothing too impressive here. Just fun over the weekend.

This is my first night landing on the carrier.
-
Not sure how hard it would be to implement, but would be interesting to have LSO grade our landings and tell us which wire was trapped in the debrief. Or yell at us for a wave off at the least.
-
Just as the name implies. Would be nice to have some yellow shirts at the least to get us to the shuttle.

The issue I find with most people trying to refuel is that they want to chase the refueling plane. In a sense you want to fly through it. Think of it like driving.. you look ahead, not at the road just in front 10 feet away. Look past the drogue and should take care of your problem. when ready to disconnect just decrease power a slight bit.

[REPORTED][MERGED] Catapult Failed Launches
Tuna-Salad replied to Arbil's topic in Bugs and Problems
Half flaps, and takeoff trim. What I think is happening is that you aren't connected to the shuttle. Drop your launch bar, creep up to the shuttle and press U. This will connect you. This should fix your problem. It is very important that takeoff trim is set or it will try to put you in the drink. -
DCS: F/A-18C Screenshots and Videos (NO DISCUSSION)

My first night landing No Tacan. Complete visual. Could be better, could be a lot worse. -
Next DCS (US) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List

A-6 Intruder possible? The A-6 intruder would be a fantastic aircraft for DCS considering the time frame... Just curious if anyone knows if any 3rd party devs have plans for it? -

This sim needs... An EA-6B prowler for SEAD. -
A tutorial I made a while back for how to use TGP and MAV. Should answer some of your questions.

A suggestion maybe and some brain storming. Not real sure where this would go.. I'd like to see a Lockon forum and a general DCS forum, so this kinda applies to both. #1. Cloud shadows. These could be used by future helicopter players to further mask them with the terrain to help avoid being spotted by A-10's or fast movers. These also add a sense of realism and are great for graphics. #2. I would suggest an aircraft or helicopter that is non combative. The KC-135, or maybe a blackhawk or huey doing "troop" ferry into and out of the combat zone. This would appeal to those who like civil flight sims and just flying in general without killing or fighting so you would have a broader range of players. #3. You are doing a hell of a job. Don't stop now. (ED) ${1} Good example of cloud shadows

Wondering if someone would be willing to help out
Tuna-Salad replied to Tuna-Salad's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog

The task manager shows it to be "not responding" after a few seconds. I will try again and wait. -

No I did not. I AM the admin of the machine and this account is the pc admin. So should not have to run as. If the others worked and the program came off with a hitch it should be no different here. I've put all graphics to lowest settings. Um.. Just had to reinstall directx after beta 3 because of an ed terrain error. In task manager it shows dcs "not responding" after about 8 seconds or so after hitting "fly" from the launcher -
I installed the new patch beta 3 and it is not working, but I know why. I had installed the shader fix mod for nevada terrain but forgot to make backups. Since new beta 3 the nevada map is no longer there but the shader file is and is causing conflicts I think. If possible I need someone to upload and or post a place I can get the default shaders folder for beta 3. This would save me from having to download and reinstall the entire thing.

So I made a real basic tutorial for some of the newer people. ${1} It's not complete and doesn't go into too much detail but is enough to get started

CCRP only calculates release based on speed and altitude.. It does not take wind into account as that is your job as the pilot. The closer you get to point the more sensitive it will be, much like navigating via VOR on the HSI, the closer to the station the more sensitive the needle.

I know how to drop the GBU-10 and 24, but not the GBU-31 JDAM When in ccrp I do not get the same symbology as I do with the GBU-10 Have managed to drop the gbu-31 once and not sure what I did that was any different. I see people talking about pages in the manual as well, but.. I don't see a manual in any of the folders.. where would that be located?
-
you need to make the MCFD SOI before you can move the target designator. You don't really "lock" anything either.. just put it on point targeting. Biggest issue is getting the mfd to not say "not soi" you do this by pressing the coolie switch left or right for about 2 seconds
-
I have the same exact issue.. but mine only pops up when textures are put to high instead of medium.
