  1. Still doing this JDAM practice mission over and over and over to master PP mode (I have TOO on lockdown) After programing all my cords & elevation for all four JDAMS this is how I pickle them: Starting on PP1 = Pickle then pickle (two off!) then I go to PP2 and Pickle (3 off!) then I go back to PP1 hit step, go back to PP2 then pickle (4 off!) I hit all four targets but man is this the correct way of doing this?
  2. Ok so have watched videos & I have used the practice mission but I am still not sure exactly how to pull this off. I can get to the PP mission page and I start with PP1 and I enter my first set of cords and elevation. Then I go to PP2 and I enter my 2nd set of cords and elevation. I then go back to PP1 hit step and I enter my 3rd set of cords and elevation. I go to PP2 and I enter my 4th set of cords and elevation. So my question is how do I pickle all these? Do I just hit the pickle button 4 times? Am I suppose to pickle then go to PP2 pickle, go back to PP1 hit step and pickle then back to PP2 and pickle? Also is there a way to pickle all 4 at once? In the mission I am just hitting the pickle button 4 times but I can only hit 2 targets. Any advise is welcome! /Salute
  3. "Watching the pro's teach us on youtube it seems you can just control it all with the throttle." This is not true, here is Wags showing his control imputs & you can see him adjusting his stick to the right during that last 30 degree turn:
  4. On that final turn I set the turn to 30 degrees and it does slip to the left so I am constantly adjusting my stick to the right to set it back to 30 degree while at the same time using the throttle to control the rate of descent.
  5. @ouseler I can tell the level of frustration you are experiencing simply by the title of your post being in all caps followed by a bunch of exclamation marks. This may sound silly but one of the most important factors for AAR is your head space. AAR is already very stressful & extremely challenging so going into it with a clear mind is very useful. Next: you can watch all the Youtube videos on AAR & take in all the advise coming your way which is no doubt very helpful, BUT the one true path that will get you to successfully complete AAR in an F/A-18 Hornet is practice. Took me nine days of just logging into DCS world and working on AAR over and over and over again. Frustration on the first order indeed! But at the end of day I do have an overwhelming sense of accomplishment as I can now complete AAR in an F/A-18 Hornet with my basic T16000 HOTAS. You can do this, believe in yourself & practice. Update this thread with your progress, I would love to read about it!
  6. It really comes down to practice, & lots of it. Small movements of give and take on both the stick & the throttle. Let us know how your progress goes, & good luck!
