Yesterday I noticed once again the wrong translation in the german text. It is not a mission type bug, but general incorrect translated across many modules: The AI radio call "Attacking armor at XYZ" is (wrongly) translated into "Greife Panzerung an" - which means as much as "Attacking armory". It should be "Greife Panzer an" (Panzer = Tank, Panzerung = Armory)

What about Bugfixes? If thats true, why do these files get deleted after the update is finished?null

I can´t load the last update. It seems, like there is to less space on my drive (~200 GB). WTF? Why do I need to install ALL of the modules - even if I don´t own them? No wonder my drive is full. This isn´t normal behaviour, is it? I.E.: I don´t own the F-15E - but it stills downloads it with 3.2GB. Absolutely unnecessary.

Yes, I do. And I also realised that these mission disappear after each update. So it would be nice of ED to just implement them into BS3. But to do so I have to install BS2, which I neither need nor want.

Could you please provide the Missions from the BS2 also for BS3 please? I don´t want to install both modules, just to modify it for the BS3 (and do so again and again after each and every update). And while you´re at it: Do the same for the A10C II as well please. null

Maybe it´s just me, but even this is an FA18 mission the briefing talks about me being an Apache Pilot of 4....

It would be nice if there was a hint which options has which impact on which PC-Part. For example, everything that stresses the CPU could be marked in blue (or any other way). What stresses the GPU could be marked in red and so on. This would make optimizing much easier.

Please give us the option to be #2 in the flight. As now you have to be the flight lead, no matter what. I don´t know how realistic it is as a new guy to lead a flight of up to 4 planes (i.e. as a new pilot in DCS). It would be so much more fun to start as #2, 3 or even 4 and would give mission builders more options. The possibility to follow your lead on a mission is completely missing in DCS. Maybe it would even add to a feeling of progress in a campaign, after getting promoted to become #2 or even the lead at some point. But for now I really need the possibility to be #2 and not the lead...

Refering to this topic it is still ongoing: There may be improved AI in DCS - but my very own wingman is none of that. He is still stupid and prefers to fly into enemy territory instead of using his stand-off weapons. As soon as he gets the order to attack, he developes a deathwish and starts to imagine he is invincible. But, he isn´t. So therefore I have two options: #1: Not using my AI Wingman at all, hoping he survives and I can take his plane if I crash #2: Ordering him to attack, knowing it is his sure death I really really doubt ED can manage such a huge task like a Dynamic Campaign if they fail for years to improve this easy behaviour... #changemymind Stupid Wingman AI.trk

Deployment campaign - Mission 12 - KODA - KA-50

First of all: The windshield whiper in the BS3 has no effect on the rain. Just tried to finish the 3rd and last campaign of the good old Ka-50. And what can I say except from: How TF are we supposed to succeed in that mission? Did anyone ever completed that? Visibility ends with the tip of my rotors and there are no sensors in this bird. The only chance to find the target is to fly 200m by them - which turns out to be very deadly. I really think there is something off in this mission - or maybe I´m just a whimp. -
I still don´t get why a free falling item is as fast/faster then an aircraft in Afterburner. That can´t be right, can it?

Either way it seems quite unlikely that a bomb can breach the soundbarrier by itself. If that was so simple, humanity wouldnt have struggled this long with it. And even if: a free falling and thumbling fueltank shoulndn´t be able to go over M1.0 on it´s own. So therefore must be something wrong in the Sim.

Or - just my 2 Cents - the stores are somehow still (invisibly) connected to the airframe and accelerate accordingly.

I just noticed a strange behaviour in the Hornet (possibly any fast mover). Curious if it is possible to shoot my own jettisoned fuel tank somehow I never was able to catch up with a free falling tank or in this matter any stores. Even when dropped at angels 40 and 90° upwards and then going 90° downwards it is impossible to get faster then the falling items - even with AB. It seems like a strange bug, where the stores can reach up to Mach 1.3 just by pure gravity. Einstein would have loved this...

I really hate to complain over and over again, but come on ED - don´t be so Micro-Soft! Get your sh*t together and do better. As really every internship could see, the text doesn´t fit inside the textbox and is hidden behind an overlay of the Changelog. This is since day 1 of the "new" super duper Launcher... Also - don´t know if its intentional or not - you are able to scroll through the news on the Home Screen - looks kinda strange instead of using the arrows, but ok... null

Hey - even if Virtual Desktop is running and the Launcher is set to start DCS in VR, it doesn´t. Can you fix this please? Is it really neccessary to go the long way over the taskbar?

Well, its mission #3 in the F18 "Campaign" - so what am I supposed to do? Go into the mission editor and change it myself? How many other "old" missions are there which need an update? That's one big issue with DCS imho. It looks like the whole core is patched and instable in itself. One change on this side, and over there <profanity> hits the fan... This is what people complain about and tell ED to finally fix the core issues before pumping even more modules into this chaos. I think it won´t get easier this way - but what do I know...

Maybe its just me, but since the update the Hornet has no option to set the MFuze in Cockpit so the bombs won´t explode. Also, smokepiles are visible through the clouds.

As far as 2024: - No possibility to be #2 in a mission. It´s impossible to make a mission without being the lead. - Missing radio calls even in the very old SU-25T (which may hook many people to DCS - no response) - Missing Pilots(models) in different modules (BS3/SU25T) - Stupid AI behaviour (going Melee and not using stand-off weaponary) - Godlike enemy AI seeing through trees, buildings and clouds - Terrain textures in Caucasus map look poor/old (which now with Helos is even more impartant beside the fact that its the first thing new players see) - Civil traffic going through military vehicles because of higher speeds... (+Fixed?) Dissapearing shadows if object not completly visible (the shadows should remain) - No standard of aircraft in missions - sometimes DL is on, sometimes its not. Every single time it must be set up - where is the cartradge? - Rain effect even inside hanger, but instead... - Jet-wash outside/behind hanger + AI generated calls from ground troops like from AWACS (but for ground units being reported to player) - Flightplans are only saved for the lead flight (after switching planes the flightplan of the wingman is gone) + A little Animals/Wildlife to add more life to DCS - it feels kinda empty + Better briefings (especially in the old modules) - Only show my active/bought modules in the main menu (instead of all) - Success indicators. If mission successful, why no percentage of success? Thats frustrating. ... tbc - = Missing in Game/need a Fix + = Would be a great new feature

True. I mean, AI Wingman spots enemy at 25k behind a building - but needs to circle above it? Thats just so stupid. One line of code could solve this: IF you can attack from far away: Do it! ELSE: Stay the F out of enemy territory. But ok, I will give DCS another try today and add a track later.
