Ok good to know, that building has a very odd slope to it. Not impossible by any means just very odd shape and can easily tip the Huey if not paying close attention.

Last night the issue did not occur, I was able to get passed this area without an issue. However, I did crash upon the 2nd attempt to land on the roof of extraction point , Although my fault, the NVG is a nightmare and I assume some blame to that . Back to the orginal issue, I wonder if the Apache' crashed an a funky AI issue, I'm not quite sure but I do know I was travelling along just fine when the mishaps reported a crash. In any event, I was able to proceed. Thank you Petritis for your quick response and testing. It's refreshing to see content creators respond as you did. I hope all follow your example. Thank You again!

Thank you for the reply that is very much appreciated, I have returned to the campaign after being away for awhile... My last 2 attempts with the last mission ended the same, All was going well, progressing without issue, and upon the trigger to orbit while the Apache' engage is when the mission fails, When I checked what could have been the reason the entry is "Crashed". I'm not sure if it is meaning "me" or the Apache'. I can tell you I certainly did not hit a thing. I will try again, perhaps later today and see what happens but like I said the above has happened twice thus far.

This campaign needs to fixed. Last mission is broken. Aircraft reports crash upon trigger to orbit while the gunships make entry to the zone. No obstructions, nothing hit. Happens everytime I hit this area. Campaign makers have a duty to be sure all is well regardless of updates. Especially true when the campaign is still offered for sale. BTW the Night vision in the Huey is horrendous. Campaign maker should consider an option on time of day due to the many issues with NightVision.

Yes this Night Vision is horrible in the Huey, should be an option to change time of day, Yes it may make it easier but at least one is able see. Also, this mission for me is broken since this last update as of 5/7/2022. All Campaign providers have a duty to be sure it works correctly while still offered for sale. The craft just crashes upon told to orbit the area while the gunships make entry. Did not hit anything was way above any obstacles.

This may help others to troubleshoot.... My DCS was working flawlessly and never experienced any crash at all, until...... On the most recent sale I purchased the F18C and Supercarrier. It was then only after install did I experience these unusual Crashes. I believe that since I changed nothing that somewhere within the install of these two modules that something went awry.

Hello Everyone!! I just recently came across this fine addition, haven't installed as I am just now watching some videos to understand how it works. Rather than going thru all of these pages, can anyone tell me if this will generate missions for the Huey? Haven't seen much other than a post that was unanswered. Thanks in advance to anyone who chooses to respond.

Switched over the Open Beta, Got in and had a great time. There were a few on with me. I'm sure it's possible I just don't know how,, but to speak to others flying out there would be fun. Hopefully now that I can in to mulitiplayer as my flying the Huey has gotten much better, I hope to find to some other servers that are Huey and Newbie Friendly.

Thanks all for responding, I was leaning towards the P51 due to it being around longer than the P47, have tons of hours with various planes in Xplane11, moved to DCS because of Missions. Enjoy the Huey very much and am now moving towards the Warbirds. Thanks again all!

Please excuse if this seems strange but I'm quite new here and would like to know about the throttle. I have a t160000 Joystick and Throttle and Rudder pedal setup. To work the throttle correctly do I assign my Throttle to the "Thrust" option under Axis? Will this adjust my speed correctly. I see an option for Speed Increase/Decrease so I'm just not sure. Or is Thrust only for Afterburner? I guess I'm simply asking how I appropriately assign my throttle to control speed. Thanks Much. Yes I know I should probably start with something easier but I started DCS with the Huey and although I crashed more times than I care to remember when learning, I now can park it just about anywhere I choose. :-)

This Post was a Hilarious read!!! :thumbup: I been having an issue when releasing cargo, I get the prompt to release, do the unhook and everytime says it's damaged. I'm on 2.5.5. No matter how careful and sure it says the cargo was destroyed. Then the UH-60 decides it's funny to try to ram me.. he hasn't succeeded yet.

By the way... Can you give your opinion on the transition from the Huey to this model? I'm doing rather well with the Huey and enjoy it, but I just want to have some options. I do have the K50 but haven't really spent much time with it. I'm told the MI8 is a real blast and has great Campaigns. I haven't tried any multiplayer as I'm still learning and not sure of the patience there when Online.

I noticed that Steam has a sale going on for many items including the MI8, I have successfully transferred some of my other purchases from there to the standalone version without issue. Does anyone know if I will be able to do the same so I can save about half the price?

Wow no one knows???

So please forgive me, I am very new to DCS, I am setting up my controller (T16000M) and have a question... I see an option for Throttle and Thurst. I downloaded a Profile for my Joystick and THrottle from a kind person who shared here. My throttle is assigned as "Thrust" with this profile, it is on an axis where it seems when in the middle it is centered. I have tested and it seems that it is the throttle as when I move it above half I believe this kicks on the Afterburners. Am I right about this?? or totally off base? Thanks to anyone who chooses to respond and help.
