What could be wrong with the MIDS knob if it is turned on? -

Did.you find a solution.to this problem? I am trying all the start up procedures with normal alignment after i load fuel and weapons and all F-16s around have link except mine. -
Do you mean that the modules aren't worth the price? I thought they did when i bought them..
-
I bought modules and terrains just before the sales...

The lines disappear each time you click the lower left switch of the radar screen.

1600×1300 resolution?
-NMS- Ikaros replied to -NMS- Ikaros's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Oh.. i meant to say 1600 x 900 actually. I have to change the title. Sorry. -
How is it possible to choose between targets close together which one to lock? In the F-16 you can zoom in and select target to lock with cursor or in Track While Scan mode you can choose between targets next one with a TMS left. Now in The mirage can we do something about it?

Guys with my Asus Strix GTX 970 OC in the 1600 x 900 res i can set full settings in terrain and textures and i cannot see any difference except better framerate and visuals than the 1920 x 1080. Now is it my eyes that cannot discern the difference or what?

Hello again guys. Is there a quick trim reset method except activation of A/P and disengagement? I tried the A/P disconnect button but it doesn't work for it.

Guys i was wondering if this magnificent jet is easy to fly a full IFR approach with the given HSI (Is this the only NAV instrument in the Mirage?) In all other aircrafts i've flown the HSI have Omni Bearing Selector (OBS) and Course Deviation Indicator (CDI) for a more precise selection and navigation of radials and the given instrument is as secondary named Radio Magnetic Indicator (RMI) Have you tried instruments only flying a published approach, is it possible with the given instrument?

Great. I found the mode switch button. One more question. Is there a way to zoom in the radar like in the F-16 EXP mode so i can scatter the contacts when they are close together?

Angle of Attack importance during and after landing.

Oh man i didn't notice that on the manual. Thanks!!!!!! -
Hello again Mirage fellows! Im having trouble figuring out how to change betweeen these 3 modes. Whenever i lock a target once the radar locks on to TWS mode, i lock again hoping to lock in STT mode but it doesn't. Other times the opposite happens, i lock once and the lock is going STT directly. Can someone explain how do i change modes between the 3 of them?

Is the app mode available only for ILS approach only or can i use it in visual approach also? (without ils available airport) How do i activate this mode? I used to fly F-16 in the past and i just started training in the Mirage, looks a lot harder aircraft to manage. -
Hello guys. I was listening to the fighter pilot podcast and they were talking about the Mirage. The french pilot mentioned that the aoa for landing should be 14 degrees and that 1.5 degrees more aoa during the flare and the engine nozzle would scratch the runway which is a very bad thing to happen. Now in this machine the aoa is not shown in the hud while in landing visually. Only way to check is to turn sideways and check the instrument on the side which is very uncomfortable to do while landing. Is there a way to have the aoa shown on the hud? Also is there a way to show the nose point (gun cross) on the hud so to at least watch out for the flare and aerobraking angle not to exceed limits?

So it did have a small deviation in straight and level. I tested it on the F-16 and the pitch change is very slight, not noticable but in the Mirage it is. I wonder if thats the case in the real thing. Guys i really appreciate the replies and i really look forward to finish my training in the mirage and fly with you Veterans.

I told an example. Flying straight and level 0 feet per minute on the vsi and 380 knots. I stop making inputs on the controls (even no joystick connected) and the aircraft starts pulling up slightly, at the same speed that in about 30.seconds my vsi would show at about 500 feet per minute climb. Very slight pitch rate, not noticable to the "naked eye". This example happens on the Mirage but lesser on the F-16 also less noticable again to the "naked eye" That means that whenever i have to set various systems in cockpit and let handsfree on the controls i will have to correct pitch afterwards at the same speed which is not correct for an auto trim aircraft. I really would like someone to test and correct me if I'm wrong and i could make a video so you can see.

Yes this is an option but the flight control system of these 2 aircrafts is maintaining level flight in pitch (in reality) if no input is made and trimming with button control is not so precise. Once i trim down then the other issue arise, constant slight pitching down. I choose to buy these 2 aircraft because of the fly by wire system and auto trim function and trimming up/down would disappoint me.
