I noticed since ED has updated the forums, almost nobody's signature is displayed except for a couple of Forum Admins. I believe the Forum Admin will have to enable signatures globally for everyone in order for them to display again. -

Hornet Flight Model Well said! I'm no expert either and I want to make it clear too that I'm not complaining. I'm very grateful for the Hornet we have. I'm just saying that the drag at high altitude doesn't seem realistic. The Hornet overall has come such a long way too. It's in my opinion one of the most capable multirole modules we have in DCS despite the few flight model "quirks" and it seems like it just keeps evolving for the better. I've personally never flown any fighter jet and wouldn't claim to be an armchair expert either by any means lol. I'm sure ED will listen to the community's feedback. :)

High Altitude Drag/Flight Model I'm no expert however, it does seem like the flight model could use an update. The Hornet feels like it has more drag depending on the loadout at high altitude vs low altitude. I sometimes struggle anywhere above angels 25 at a 5-7 degree climb even when the aircraft is clean to get above 300 knots especially at angels 30. According to the Natops 200 manual, the F-18C should easily be at somewhere near Mach .8 or more at 25,000-30,000 feet and burn less fuel with the air being thinner. Several variables affect this like the weight, loadout, et cetera however, I do believe this should be addressed eventually. Again, I'm no expert. Just doesn't seem correct in the simulator to me.

It seems the A-10C is under-powered and under performs. Especially after a rollout from a bomb dive/cannon run, et cetera. It just seems like there isn't a realistic amount of power when trying to regain altitude. Bleeds out too fast however, I'm no expert. Seem's like it's been referenced in detail in this thread here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=274463

After a complete uninstall and reinstall of the Virpil Software (Latest Version), I matched my settings to yours. Looks like the only difference was the POV1 mode needed to be set to 4B4W however, I'm still experiencing the same behavior from the 8Way/Trim bindings. I have to keep pressing vs hold to trim? I've got a ticket in with Virpil to see if they have a solution as well. -

I've attached a screenshot, Yes POV1 is configured in the VPC Config. In the tester the light will flash red then blue unless I hold it perfectly in the direction position almost like it's conflicting with Up Right, Up Left, Down Right, Down Left. -
Virpil WarBRD Base w/TM F/A-18C Hornet Stick: 8W Hat/Trim Input Issues

Here are some screens of my profile and button mapping. Everything seems to be correct however the 8way Hat/Trim Button's respond as a single click instead of hold. -
Just got a new Virpil WarBRD Base mounted on Monstertech Seat Mounts w/Stock Gambles & Heavy Springs. I'm using the Thrustmaster F/A-18C Hornet Stick on the base. Installed the Virpil Software (Latest Version), updated the firmware, created profiles, have everything mapped in DCS, et cetera. I'm experiencing an issue with the 8 Way Hat/Trim Switch not responsive on the Hornet Stick. In the Virpil Software Button View, I see when I press the hat up/down/left/right the input reads on, off, on, off and so on. So basically I have to keep pressing the trim hat to get the aircraft to trim as opposed to holding the hat to trim the aircraft which is a LOT quicker and the trim behavior I'm used too with the Warthog Base. Does anyone know the fix for this?

@Wags. I too also have an RTX 2018 TI [EVGA XC ULTRA] paired with an I9-9900K! I was just curious what's your page file settings? Do you have window's manage that or do you have a specific amount set?
