Numeric or boolean (0 or 1). Simple Im sure but can someone please write an example .   3. Resource Manager : Is there any one out there ... not nessesarily from Ed or one of its testers, who has tried out the resource manager in DCSW and can clarify what these settings do .... thankyou? Speed = ? Periodicity = ? Size = ? Operational Level % ? Adding supplier ?? Ta
  4. 1. Acknowledging something and responding are two entirely different things. 2. I am very aware of the legal position of my comments and there is nothing in them which requires caution ... speculation and insinuation are not the same and anyone who really understood criminal law would know that... 3. My respect is for the platform in which I'm making a comment, this forum. Clearly I'm not respectful of ED who continually disrespects his customers. 4. Trust you ! Why!, what have you done to deserve my trust... are you the spokesperson for ED ? Official? If not, in what official capacity am I to trust you? Your comments are noted .......... so what?
  5. I think many of the comments here , though well intentioned, are very nieve! This 'problem' rest squarely at the feet of the developer, ED. Regardless of who and what and why the servers are being attacked, its Eagle Dynamics responsibility to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Something, that for several possible reasons they seem reluctant to do. ? Since ED has failed to make a formal statement on the issue anything else about what they intend to do is pure speculation and has no value. At this moment we can assume that nothing is going to be done. I for one, a loyal supporter since the first Flanker series ... have come to the point where ED's attitude towards it customer base is so disappointing that I will soon move on to something else... much against my wishes. ED needs to wake up to its customer responsibilities ... loyalty is a two way thing! No doubt soon all the PC review and gamer sites will get wind of this issue .... then what! ED get off your high horse and resolve this now or face a real damaging downgrade in buyer confidence! Respectfully RP

  7. I dont have the A10 release - Im a pure rotor head ...... so why should I be interested in looking through or for A10 related topics and boards??? Well it turns out ED has produced a nice Editor manual for the Yanki A10 but cant be bothered for us Ka50 flyers ............... Even a note in the /doc folder giving the info and link to the .pdf would have been easy enough to do ... again not very professional of ED !! ...
  8. IS THERE ANY !?? Other than the largely out of date references in the official manual. I refere specificaly to the new triggering functionalities , conditions behaviours and resulting actions. Once again I fail to understand how the developers keep overlooking editor documentation or even 'mouse over' assistance. Any links would be much appreciated .... time grows short and I cant afford much more of my life being wasted away trying to work out information that should and could have easily been made availabe on release. :mad: RastaPutin Moscow's Olimpisky Arena last Saturday night ...... a moment in history!?

  10. I was thinking on the lines of the 'p' parachute function - ie possibly mapping it onto that function, since the parachute would not be required for a wire carrier landing. Probably just dreaming, but heho tis my lot in life to paddle upstream :) just messing about with it I realize now its limitations. but at least it has allowed me to import basic .lom models into 3d max. So a good starting point for me to learn to modify and understand some of the basics. Thanks for your input guys! Salute

Bob interesting - ill check it out - thanks EDIT - It appears that it does - some settings adjustments required yet to get exact transposition , but I think we may be cooking with gas! :) In-fact I suppose that if Zmodeler has the required functionality for your requirements, then there would be no need to export to 3D max . Being a noob I cant tell for sure but it seems to have a reasonable suite of functions, though probably not as comprehensive as in 3D Max.
  12. Ta Alpa - been reading your and other threads on the subject and gathering the various resources together. One last question ... Is there anywhere one, even a small one, an official ED Max source model available. It would be so helpful. I know well the history of the Flanker series, its roots and politics , but Id have hoped by now, attitudes would have mellowed some to allow for more customer driven design. Anyway my target project only involves trying to get an SU25t to simulate having a carrier hook . ie: being able to land on the Kuz as if the naval version. something that ED could probably do in a matter of hours, if he focused a little less on chasing the yanky dollar :) Only teasing ! Wheres Joey when you need him !?
  13. I have 3dmax 7 - Am I correct in concluding that the ED plug-in allows 3dmax creations to be converted to .LOM but that it does not allow you to view an already created .LOM file ? If it can view already created .LOMs - could you please point me in the right direction to doing this - ta

  15. Sounds like maybe if we can get a few of the expert modelers interested it would be popular - certainly bring some new life and interest back to the 'toad', as the 'Hog' has been getting all the limelight just recently. Any interest modelers ??!? :)

  18. Two questions. Is it possible to adjust the depth a ship sits in the water? and I know there was a britgliderpilot mod years ago that allowed the 25 to land on the Kuz - is there any thing on those lines now for FC2? salute
  19. Ta SW for your reply - Seem to have resolved the issue. Ensure that the 'Headphones' volume slider in options is not at zero.
  20. Before FC2, in DCS BS, I wrote several missions that included my own .ogg sound files ( voice comms). As I recall I had no problems. I'm just in the process of writing an FC2 mission. Ive included some 'test' comms .ogg files ( tried .wav as well ) , but although the trigger is activated, the text message appears .. I get no sound played. Is this a known issue or do I need to set things up in a specific way ? :helpsmilie:

  22. Seems an awful lot of techno babble to get a trivial piece of code written in the last years of the first decade of the 21st centuary to work. Strangely I nor do most folks have any similar problems connecting to stable, well written and fully tested MP applications or MP gamming enviroments. Perhaps the solution is for ED to spend a little more time making the MP connectivity, fully functional and robust. ( Along with the Editor :) ) That said - nice post PT.
