  1. Hello, There is Varjo 4 screen layout support for VR-3 and XR-3. What I'm asking here is if it would be possible to increase (or at least be able to set) higher PPD resolution for the outer larger two windows. Since the new multithreading and with the nvidia 4090 the engine should be able to handle it. Currently the 4 window mode on VR-3 and XR-3 has lower resolution for the outer (larger) LCDs than the native LCD panels. Or - is this somehow configurable already in some lua file?   3. I have the same problem now with the ultraleap glowes - the head movement drags the pointer created by the ultraleap hand tracking. It is jumping as the ultraleap sets the cursor and whenever I move with my head it tries to drag the cursor away including the hand visualisation. Am I alone trying the ultraleap thing while its not possible to unlink VR cursor from the pointer movement?
  4. I have exactly the same but it changes dramatically when there are no clouds. Seems like presence of any clouds + shadows enabled causes this (in 2.7 clouds did not cast shadows?)
  5. Hi, I have bought 4090 asus. You have mentioned Aero varjo - I have big issue with my varjo on 4090 - I see a lot of ghosting when moving my head in all VR applications. When I swap back ot the 3090 the problem is gone. Have you already tested the Aero with 4090? Regarding FPS I had 40-45 fps with full details and 2xMSAA with my aero and 4090 is now peaking 80FPS - it is like 80-100% faster (Intel 12900 overclocked to 5.4 6 cores - all efficient cores disabled)

    Varjo VR-3

    This has been posted in another thread but I wanted to keep this isolated in separate thread. Since the latest beta version I'm not able to switch the VR into the native varjo mode. Before I was able to run it with --force_varjo_VR but as of the new patch it does not start in VR mode anymore - it falls back to 2D. Withouth the --foce_varjo_VR DCS starts normally in VR mode but not with the native 4 window rendering like it was with the native mode.
  8. I have the same issue with the HMD display positioned too low in F16 and in apache it is lower than I would expect. I have VR-3 varjo
  9. @Morphine windows version? Your varjo settings is? What happens when you run dcs.exe --force_varjo_VR ? (mine will fallback to 2D version - no VR at all)
  10. With VARJO VR-3 If I run it with dcs.exe - it runs in normal steam vr mode (2 windows) If I run it with dcs.exe --force_enable_VR --force_varjo_VR - it runs in 2D mode (no VR at all) If I run it with dcs.exe --force_varjo_VR - it runs also in 2D mode (no VR at all)
  11. I have VR-3 and DCS steam version. Before the patch I could enable the bionic dcs rendering by the --force_varjo_VR but I did not liked it anyway as the outside resolution was worse than not using the 4 window resolutions. Luckily I'm on a steam version which does not enable the varjo special rendering but I can not enable it either with option --fofce_varjo_VR anymore. I have tried standalone version and it does the same. There needs to be NOT autodetect of which mode should be used as me as VR-3 user can decide to not use the bionic mode for any reason. to be absolutely clear - there needs to be always switch which user can control if the VR rendering will use 4 window rendering or normal 2 screen rendering regardless on the VR model type

  13. After the update, should we see AIM54 fenix missiles on datalink? J11 can see them, F14 can see them, even on radars - but FJ17 radar nor datalink can see AIM54 missiles.

Hello, I'm trying to crack one thing for several hours and I give up so I need help - What I want to achieve - I have seen a server (BVR in its name) which is for BVR "deathmatch" and it works in a way that red/blue side enters into aircraft and the server is paused. While the server is paused and at least 1 slot is occupied in red and blue slot you can see in a chat counting from 10 to 0 while the server is paused - this is what I cannot achieved because the gameGUI script API does not have access to the timer singleton (or I do not know if yes) so I cannot schedule a function using timer.scheduleFunction which I can run only in mission script environment - but while the server is paused this is fully stopped so the only chance is to do it in the gameGUI environment but again I cant figure out how to execute some function every 1 second if the server is paused. I'm wondering how the creators of that BVR server achieved this "trick" to able to execute function in the gameGUI every second while the server is paused - this must be using some external dll module?

Hi, could someone (ideally from Deka) confirm that if I shoot SD on 35 mile and will turn back immediatelly losing radar lock while another JF17 (linked with datalink) can still see the target - can be the information from datalink or from another JF be used to track /update target until it goes to active? I'm not sure how the SD10 is updating its information from the JF which initiated the launch (is it through the radar somehow or there is some transmission / radio coming from the JF and it cannot be updated/used by another JF?)

  17. yes, I'm getting tracking tracking but as soon as the missile is launched I'm getting instant msl lnch warning (even from 30NM) - the plane was in front of me and I had him tracked in TWS
  18. I'm getting MSL LNCH as soon as it is launched in STT from 30-40NM (both planes are jf17) - is that real?
  19. So it works exactly as you stated - I got warning only in STT and not in other modes. We had to be confused somehow and my friend had to be in STT not knowing it or overlooking it.
  20. We have tried launching ARH (SD-10) in RWR bugged target and we have still received MSL LCH - is JF-17 supposed to really get MSL LCH only in SST? I will try to do more tests today

We have fired from JF17 in TWS (only HTS - no STT) and I got missile launch from 35 NM warning (only if the fox3 were launched) - I'm curious why is that - shouldn't be firing fox3 from 35NM in TWS (no STT) silence launch and you should get warning only when missile is in like 5NM (or if the missile will just go to active)
  22. I have now tried - JF-17 againts JF-17 - I got MSL LAUNCH warning only when JF-17 fired the missile from STT and from TWS - I cannot remember I was getting this warning before. Do actually anyone know when we should get MSL LAUNCH warning againts AIM-120C when fired from F16/F-18 - at what range should we get the first warning for the MSL WARNING ? Does it depend on what mode they were launched?
  23. Hi, When I'm in about 30-40Nm range - sometimes I see warning - missile launch but sometimes I do not see it. I was fighting with JF-17 againsta JF-17. I understand that I will get the warning anytime the missile will be about 5NM near me (missile - missile - missile warning) but what exactly causes "Missile lnch" on my hud? Do I need to track the plain or did the enemy fired the misile in SST and if not in SST I will not get "Missile lnch" on my hud?
  24. I woudl have no problem to pay a subscription. I'm spending a lot of time in this game and I understand how much money you need to keep wheels rolling. ED relies on one time payment income (as I know) so the managment have to think all time what to do to keep the finance coming - for us - long time players this is no good as what we want is - better testing, focus on fixing things - doing things with OUR priority list. All of this would be so much easier when doing on subscription level because than ED would be able to hire new guys and they can pay them from subscriptions focusing on things WE want.
  25. if they allow to buy early access modules like the F16 which I paid - ppl are maybe expecting some level of stability even in open beta - what we are seeing these days are not normal and should be avoided.
