cannot reproduce Spinner disappears when up close in F2 view
aphill replied to Sprool's topic in Bugs and Problems
Thanks for that info! -
Repaired DCS, removed all mods, deleted fx and shader files, all is now well. So disregard my above post.

-
Yes, it made no diffrence
-
Thanks Sprool that's what I was looking for.
-
Nope, I don't "see" it ether. Don't really need one though. Just primer for about 10 seconds and that seems to work for me.

The trim moves too fast with a POV hat switch. Need to have the ability to slow it down so as to make finer adjustments like you would in real life with a manual trim wheel. I would like to have the option as a mission builder to choose whether you spawn in with the wings spread or folded.
-
I wish they would give us the ability to set a curve on the trim.
-
So drop the default lua file in saved games?
-
One of the anomalies is the hydraulic pressure sometimes will drop to zero with the engine running. I have seen it happen on the ground with nothing hydraulic moving.
-
Well yes but you just make a copy and paste it back in after the update. I can't remember if I duplicated the folders in saved games or not. It work very well though. DCS did fix the issue in an update. Its no big deal I just enjoy tweaking things. Thanks for the reply.
-
Thanks for the reply I am assuming that you are doing this after first starting the engine?
-
I would like to be able to slow down the rate that the trim wheels turn with the hat switch on the joystick, it moves too fast. (too sensitive) I remember having to do that for the Mosquito early on and it was with a lua file. I just don't remember all the details. Anyone remember that?

I do think the hydraulic pressure is not working properly though. I think it looses too much on spreading the wings and doesn't recover the pressure quick enough. I am certainly no expert on it maybe someone at Magnitude could just check it out.
-
Found the problem: Operator error. You must watch that you don't loose hydraulic pressure. Spreading the wing you loose hydraulic pressure. No hydraulic pressure flaps no workie.
-
Sometimes the flaps just before I start the takeoff roll the flaps, (I selected 20 ) by themselves go to full and after takeoff the gear retracts but the tailwheel stays down. Flaps will not retract using the retract handle.
-
When I am sitting on the ground engine running, wings unfolded the flaps will not work. (sometimes, its intermittent) That should not happen.
-
I just did a repair, removed all mods, tried again, no luck. Another thing that happens occasionally actually a lot main gear comes up, flaps stay down no matter the flap lever setting and the tailwheel stays down (hook up)
-
Sometimes the flaps deploy and sometimes they don't. This is on the ground warming up. The flap lever moves but the flaps don't. Anybody notice this?

I am wondering if the Ammunition depot is going to have its damage level changed so it can be destroyed? I have dropped a dozen 2000 lb JDAM penetrators on one with no luck.

DCS hangs when loading Iraq into Mission Editor
aphill replied to heloguy's topic in Bugs and Problems
It hangs for me a lot when I start from the mission editor. Hit start and it hangs. Have to control alt delete out of it. -
My friends and I have the same problem in multiplayer
-
I have this issue a lot in Multiplayer. My connection speed is great 911mbps down and 23.99 up, so I don't think thats the issue. I think the log file I posted is the latest one. I had several time outs tonight. Any help would be appreciated Thanks dcs.log dcs.20231104-232400.crash

I must be incredibly slow but I find the installation instructions to be very confusing. For example It says to put it in your saved games DCS folder not in saved games DC open beta folder. I don't have DCS stable installed hence I have no DCS folder in saved games just DC open beta. I finally gave up on installing it.

This is something that DCS badly needs. Very glad to see it being developed.
