Hey guys, got one more question to throw at 'ya. Is it possible to make an AI use smoke from the smoke pods? I know you can do it for your wingmen but I don't know about other aircraft. Same question for the external lights on the planes. Thanks.

Thanks man, you're awsome!

Hey, I've run into another little problem. I can change the season in my map but not the weather. For example, when the my season is summer and I pick "summer thundershower", nothing in the menu changes(like all of the numbers and stuff). After I press O.K. and load up the map, it looks like regular default summer, and when I go back to the mission editor, the weather is set to default. Could this be because of the mission editor mod? Thanks.

Again, thanks for the info. To not spam the forum with tons of question threads(as I usually do), I'm just gonna ask a few map editor questions here. So....I can't seem to find how to make the map night time. Is this possible? Thanks.

Thanks!

Thanks for the info. While we are on this topic, is there a way to make a plane circle an area forever? Thanks.

Do you know if after evading, will the transports get back on the path?
-
I'm trying to make my own level but I'm having a bit of trouble. I want to protect a big formation of transport planes but I run into two problems. 1) When I try to create a group of them, only one spawns(starting in air) which makes it a little harder to make the mission, but really just an inconvenience. Does anybody know a way around this? 2) There are only two points I am putting down for each transport. The first is the longest and and the second is just for landing. My idea is to have planes try to attack them with only guns, but when they get close, the transports move off of the path to evade. Is there a way I can get them to keep flying straight even if there is an enemy attacking them? Thanks.

How to configure a Logitec Gamepad
Sel94 replied to Phobosdeimos71's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Welcome to Lock On! So, yes, you really need a joystick, but to program it for FC2- Start it up and click on "options" Select the "controls" tab Pick a plane and find the function you want to map to the controller. Click on the space in the correct row for the function, and the correct column for the gamepad(I think it's the second column. ) Now, click on "add" near the bottom and press the button you want mapped for your function. -
Wow, this does look good! I'm not into choppers much, but I'll keep an eye on this project.

Hey guys, here is the official site. I reccomend connecting to facebook before watching the trailer again, it's pretty funny.

Project Aces just announced a new Ace Combat and released a trailer! You can see it here. I am a fan of the series and can't wait for it. It is confirmed on the 360 and PS3 for right now.

Alright, thanks. And I must annouce that there will be a delay in me opening a port in my router. I have run in to something terrible! It is a password for my router......that I forgot! So yeah, I need the password to open the port so it will take a little time to remember it. I was so close. I filled out all the info and just when I thought I was done, it askes for a password and I was like, "uh-oh I forgot the password!" :[. But it shouldn't take too long but anyway, thanks for all the help. (Oh, and yes my router is connected to 2 other computers(computer it's plugged into included) and 3 cable boxes so a total of 6 devices)

Oh, you kinda worried me there, Thanks, and soon now I will open some ports. While I am, can somebody answer this? -If I don't have a static IP, will I have to re-open the port every time I shut down and turn on my computer? Thanks.
-
Thanks for the info guys! I'll do it a little later, so in the meantime, if what KungFu says is true, I'll need a good software firewall. Know any good ones? Thanks.

I want to upgrade graphics card
Sel94 replied to bigdog4215's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
This may not directly apply to you but this thread has some good information on it. But the guys above me know what they're talking about too. -
My IP is (disgused as told) And my router is a Ryan, thanks for the program but I would like to learn how to do this but if you all have had enough I could just use it:) And thanks everyone else for the help.
-
Hey, I was on that site! But I couldn't find that info, thanks. *Yawn* But I'll do it tommorow, thanks.

Thanks guys you're being so much help, but first, can you translate this last sentence into "dumb terms" for me? And can someone confirm the appliction profile name? I think it was simulator.exe. And I just found out it says "If the desired application requires multiple ports of both TCP and UDP ports, you will need to add multiple definitions", so do I make two open ports? Sorry for all the questions, I don't want to spend your whole day helping me.
-
So I have to open a port for every game I have? There is that DMZ mode thing but I don't know if I want it because it says it's less secure. Does everyone have to go through this to host games? Anyway, thanks.

This looks awsome! Can't wait to get it!!!

Welcome to the community!First off, I think it's better to use the aircraft and watch some videos before doing all that keyboard options stuff. It let's you see how the aircraft and all its components work, which makes it easier to map on a stick. Now to answer your questions. These are answere corrosponding to your questions. 1-3)When it says LShift, it means to hold down the shift on the left side of the keyboard. So, something like RCtrl would mean the Ctrl key on the right side of the keyboard. 4) When you see something like LShift + R, it means to hold down the left Shift key and press the R key while holding down Shift. 5-10) Sorry, can't help you there. Maybe remap them. You do know the numpad is the right-most section of the keyboard with all the numbers, usually called the numpad. Just making sure. 11)I havn't used the mouse in a while because I use a stick, but I assume they mean the axis, as in the X-axis, Y-axis etc.(I could be wrong though.) 12)"Clear Catagory" will delete all maped contols in the selected catagory. 13-14)I've never used the "Save Profile", but I assume it saves the controls you maped, so you can make multiple contol layouts. You would then Load it to use it. 15)"Add" will map a control of your choosing to that function.(ex- If you want flaps to be a certain button on your stick, you select "add" and then press the button so the function will be on that button.) "Clear" deletes the button/key maped to that function so you can then use "add" to change it. "Default" will change the functions' button to the original one. (ex-you changed flaps to the "w" key. You then press "default on it to change it back to "f", the original key.) "Axis Assign" simply put, lets you use a stick with the sim. Connect the stick, then you can select "roll"(or whatever it is) and use "add" to assign the X-axis of your stick to rolling. I havn't used the last two. A digital manual should have come with the sim. Yes, it is complicated but if you can grasp the basics, it can be really fun. And yes, this is pretty realistic. Okay, sorry I couldn't answer all of them but I hope it helped! Have a fun time flying! Playing online can always be good practice. I great practice server would be "SU's(Stike Units) Server" or something like that. I am usually on there so if you see the name "Shane", that's me! I can help you learn the basics if we bump into eachother. Use the "`" key to type a message FWI.(It's to the left of the "1" key. Have a fun time!

Yeah, I feel reallly stupid not turning on the power. Well, now that I'm flying it, I think it's great! I thought the A-10 was cool but I love the way this aircraft works. I'm picking it up pretty fast, although I'm still terrible taxiing with it:)

simulator.exe, port to 10308, got it, thanks. Any word on allowing "DirectX Games"? If it does what I think it does, wouldn't it allow all games because they all use DirectX? Anyway, thanks.
-
I've now actually tried to do it but it is a bit confusing because I'm not familiar with this stuff. If anybody knows, my router askes me what app(s) can get through, so what would be the application name for FC2. Or, there is an app in the list that says "DirectX Games", would that just work for everything? Also, it asks me what protection I want. Would maximum be okay? The description is "Disallow unsolicited inbound traffic", and I think that might not work for hosting, but there is DMZplus mode(says allows everything) or I can choose which apps can go through which might be best. Sorry for all the questions but I don't want to get this wrong.
