Hi there! As i am new to DCS i dont get the difference between the two versions. I bought it on steam because...i dont know, because i bought everything on steam. Now i saw pre-order for Syria and i am wondering why i can not use it. Is it possible to swap to non steam version since i think it has some advantages? 2nd: Is it possible for me to use open beta aswell?

So first step i did: Deinstalled, but in this time i kept my settings (controller and gamesettings). Restartet game, same problem. After this i switched to open beta, and set the parameters you told me. And it seems it works again. I play with german letters and its written "Arcade" or something...maybe this was the thing that went wrong. If it happens again i let you know. Thanks for the help.

OK, will try. I have decided anyway to install it new from scratch again LOL 86 GB After installed, set your parameters and will keep you informed. Thanks for help

And sorry, same problem again. Nothing happens if i press L-MAL (tried on same missions). I got a couple of crashes (turning on generator after landing seems to be an issue...)...then suddenly the prob was bag again... hm, now i a a bit frustrated tbh, because its much fun learning to handle the Viggen...but without landing marker... i attach the wanted log file. dcs.rar

Hm, since i made nothing special, i think its the latest stable branch. But the complete kill/reinstall thing solved my problem. Puh...dont know what to say, but - why ever - something had to be badly corrupted. Maybe something went wrong while i moved the files from one HDD to another (sure, with steam procedure). But yeah...strange thing. I encountered a second problem, which is gone as well: i was not able to set the QFE on the alt meter. Now this is working properly, too.

Or because the new module Crew has nothing to do with the old module crew?

DCS Ver. 2.5.6 I did a complete uninstall (with manually delete the files which where not killed) and re installed right now. Make a new from scratch built Warthog settings. Will try later if it helped. Meanwhile you can maybe tell me more exactly, which files you want? Sorry, as told i am new to dcs and have not read very much about it...

Puh, this problem is really keeping me on the toes. I made a short video from it, hoping that anyone can see what i am doing wrong. Its really annoying...If i reach WP B3 nothing happens. From the manual: Manual waypoint change If AKT POS is selected on the data selector rotary, manual waypoint change can be used. Any of the waypoint buttons (B1-B9, BX, LS, and L/MÅL) can be used to change to that waypoint. If no coordinates are set for that waypoint, the coordinates will be copied from the previous waypoint. If L1 has no set coordinates, they will be the same as LS (the designated take-off base). ... But as you see nothing happens in the destination indicator

Hi there! New to DCS, new to Viggen...it totally got me... After a week of learning ( :-) ) i have some problems which i hope you can help me. What i do: I start "Quick start" - select Nevada and run the onlies mission which is actually offered for me: Nevada Cold Start As i enter the plane and read out the cartridge (9099) i have ma LS, B1, B2 and B3 waypoint in the systen. But if i hit L-MAL for the Landing Waypoint, nothing happens. I think its in every mission like that. The kneeboard shows me after B3 "Landing Pahute Mesa Airstrip". But as i told you guys already, nothing happens if i press "L-MAL" So i did a new Waypoint B4 with the coordinates of Tonopah Test Range Airfield. Works... I fly the "mission" untill i reach B4 but nothing happens if i request landing (F2 - ATC - Inbound), nothing changes pressin L-MAL (Indicator remains on B4 - an Nothing changes if i turn main switch to Landing NAV or P/O And i did following things as well: Change to REF/LOLA - switched to input press 9017 and after "L-MAL" ... changed to POS AKT and Output... No changes... Really confused a bit now... P.S. My F10 Map is not updated as well after setting B4 (which works properly)
