Moin, Sinnvoll wäre es vielleicht, wenn ein Thema droht auszuufern, einen neuen, eigenen Thread zu erstellen und alle Kommentare dorthin zu verschieben. Ich vermute mal, dass dies nur ein Admin kann, und dass wäre wohl zuviel Arbeit für nur ein oder zwei Personen. Gruß Frank

Finally I managed to fly the mission 6. Unfortunately I made some mistakes and was not able yet to finish it. Tried 3 times But it is nice done, and I will try again. Thanks for your great work ! Frank

What did I think of Kiowa? It needs to improve in some areas!

The Name of the Game is DCS not Discord. So I expect that the developer will communicate here, as we have an extra thread for them. If the main communication chanel is Discord, we just should remove all entries here and just put a link to the Discord chanel instead.- 594 replies

Thats a good idea. So you can not just say "no view on target" and then just fly to next checkpoint without to confirm you looked at the right spot. And sometimes you maybe have to correct the angle from where you are looking, to see if you can identify the asked question correctly. Which makes it more interesting from the scouting side. Frank

M5 Real Life got me grounded for some days. But today I finally managed to fly Mission 5. This is a nice one, even did not fire a single shot. But had to use the Smoke Cheat as I lost Tigr with the MMS and could not find him visually afterwards. Not so easy as a single seater. Everything worked fine for me in this mission. Regards Frank

Du kannst auch im Windows Taskmanager schauen von wo die DCS Prozesse aus laufen.

M4 So finally Mission 4 worked for me. I flew Version 1.00 No problem to follow Condor with Nightvision on. The only problem was the erratic maneuvers of Condor over the riverbed. This could be some kind of smoother. Sometimes Condor gets so slow and suddenly gaining altitude, that I nearly crashed into them. Also they fly much to high. I guess it is very difficult to get Condor flying "more normal" Yeah, lets check M5 now. Frank

@Mistermann @Ramsay M4 Thanks for checking. For me it is exactly as in the video from Ramsay. Except, I did not try to move back from Slot 2 to Slot 1. Will try this the next time, unfortunately first in some days. Also I will try if makes a difference to launch from the ME. By the way I am using the MT and I always update to latest version. Sure, But releasing an module explizit not in EA, forces the expectation that at least major Bugs will not Pop up. At the release of this module, it feels more than all the other EA's. Beta test by customer. Just remember the reports from users at release time. I totally agree. No software will be Bug free. And I am happy, that the devs will update when they are happy with the new Version. But for me and others as it seems, it feels as an EA and therefore the modul pricing is to high at release time. They should have released it as EA with a discount you then normally get, and I guess, there would have been much less discussion about quality and Bugs. Frank -
@Mistermann M4 It looks like I am doing something wrong, or something is broken. I start the mission as multiplayer server, as you suggested. When I choose Slot 1, I am still stuck right in front of the Blackhawk and the ground vehicle. When I choose Slot2 the Chinnock will not start. Just for fun I flew the route, and nothing happened during the flight. Landing at Uniform did also not trigger anything. Frank

Das dürfte die MR sein. Wenn du OpenXR wieder aktiv hast, installier doch auch das OpenXR Toolkit und deaktiviere dort mal die MR. Dann müßte das flimmern weg sein.

@Mistermann M4 first issue When in SP and choosing Slot 1, the Kiowa spawns right in front of the Blackhawk and half on the ground vehicle. Slot 2 is fine. Flying through the riverbed is fun. Unfortunately I made an mistake halfway through and over torqued the bird and brushed against a tree HeHe not a good idea to fly there if you are not fully concentrated . Yeah and you are right ! It has to be fun. Locking forward to your Video. Frank

M3 Finally I could make it. Costs me 3 more tries, but it was fun anyway. I loaded 2 APKWS Pod (no need for Hellfires) and max. allowed fuel. I Got Bingo Fuel first as I was short to land this bird. With setup of 2 APKWS Pods and max. Fuel with overloading the bird, it was much more difficult to fly and I got once in an vortex state and crashed. It was not possible to recover the Helo and it fellt down to earth as an stone. Yeah, I need to get an CPG. Can asume that this mission must be fun with more Kiowas and CPG in the air. Regards Frank

Als ich hier gelesen habe, man solle als AMD Karten Besitzer lieber zu Steam greifen, als zu OpenXR, war ich sehr erstaunt, da es "früher" immer hieß, das OpenXR die bessere Wahl ist. Nun denn, aus Neugier habe ich mal umgestellt und sofort wieder auf meine alten Settings mit OpenXR gewechselt, da mir die Qualität mit Steam einfach zu schlecht war. Im Toolkit, habe ich allerdings MR auf aus, dafür den Turbo Mode an. Mit MR im Toolkit auf ein, ist das Bild irgendwie wobbelig und damit nervig. FSR im DCS auf ein, war auch nicht der bringer. Das Bild wurde dann wieder verschwommen, und Instrumente kaum ablesbar. Eine Zeitlang hat es tatsächlich recht gut funktioniert, indem man dann die Pixel Density etwas erhöht hat, was dann wiederum den Performance Gewinn von FSR aufgefressen hat. Bei einem der letzten Updates hat sich FSR auch irgendwie erledigt und funzt sehr schlecht. Unterm Strich läuft bei mir OPenXR ohne MR am besten. Klar ruckelt es hin und wieder aber für mich der beste Kompromiss aus Bildqualität und Nutzbarkeit in VR. Kann sich eben nicht jeder eine GamingPC für 3500 - 4000 Euro leisten. Gruß Frank
