  1. I noticed that the AI when refueling lit up a white light which seems to be located just under the probe itself. I searched around the cockpit and I can't find such light control... Any clue how that light is switched on?
  2. Problem solved: hit cancel and restarted the installation. It resumed the task and immediately installed the map. I though I would have to download everything again, but no...
  3. My last entry in the autoupdate_log.txt shows 29124.393 INFO : MKDIR D:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\_downloads\Mods/terrains/PersianGulf/roads/ ...and I see the files inside the _downloads folder. Maybe the server stopped responding...
  4. I'm trying to install the Persian Gulf map (using the game built in mod install feature) but the download came a point where its seems it's stuck... It's says Downloading PERSIANGULF_terrain... 35366.3 of 35389.9 MBytes The green bar moves but it's like that for some hours now... Anyone knows what's going on and how can I finish the installation?
  5. +1 It's true it works steady and accurate in SP mode, but in MP I have it turned off and use the funel, for the piper jumps around exactly like the video posted above - it's useless in MP.
  6. Is there a way to assign the mouse to the TDC and make it work like a micro stick, with the designate button being one of the mouse buttons? Thanks.
  7. I've seen it. And for the AWACS too. Very easy to setup and to customize to taste. Will sure add it to my carrier ops template.
  8. Yes, this works 100%... Thanks!!
  9. Thanks!!
  10. Is it a RL procedure to tune in the ICLS channel on a CASE I recovery? I learned to do it using the TACAN+IFLOLS... From what I understand ICLS is only tuned for CASE III and first part of CASE II. But I might be wrong, so I want to know... Thanks.
  11. Looks cool, I will give it a try. Pity that the current SH-60B model is too low poly to be looked closely... we do need a new detailed rescue helo to match the Supercarrier quality level.
  12. I don't have the Persian Gulf terrain to load it... thanks anyway. By the way, the Helicopter setup on the C-SUPERCARRIER-HORNET-16-POPULATION TEMPLATE.miz works perfectly with just the same starting time and same 11 Knots speed... I end up using this template all the time. It's perfect.
  13. I was not able to replicate this... If I set both the carrier and helicopter for a fixed arrival time, then, when I move the helicopter waypoint 1 back an forth it changes the starting time either for an earlier or delayed start...
  14. OK, it seems MSAA off solves the problem... At first I didn't notice any severe change in graphics (I had it set to 2x before), but looking closer there is some noticeable jagging that wasn't there before, at the horizon line for example... It's strange that I get these flickers only on the deck of a carrier... Anyway, it seems to be a known bug, let's hope it's sorted out soon.
  15. Sorry, my bad. I just found a another thread on this very issue. It's stated that moving is ok, then a DCS repair has to be done to update the registry. There are also files "out of the main install" in the windows user folder. Anyway, I guess it won't hurt to try it out...
  16. Hi. My game installation is on my main M2 SSD together with the Windows system. I'm planning to add a 2.5" SSD as I'm getting out of disk space. Is it OK to move my original installation to the new drive, or do I have to reinstall? Thanks.
  17. When on one of the carriers deck, especially nearby the island, I get superfast black screen flickers... Has anyone experienced this? Any ideas of what it might be? My system specs: i5-7400 3GHz, 16GB RAM, GTX 1060 3GB Thank you.

True, I did get to see the popup when approaching on the F-18 to the US Carriers but I didn't see it when approaching on the Su-33 to the Russian Kutz. I believe the popup FLOLS is a feature of the Supercarriers Module (not the aircraft) but I'm not sure if it is modeled for all carriers including the Kutz, or maybe I might not have done the comms correctly...
  19. Thank you for the advice. I already planned to buy a 2.5" SSD drive for which I have a slot for. Meanwhile I won't get any maps, and I'm very happy with Supercarriers and the Hornet, which will get me busy for a while.
  20. Just open your ATC and request to land on Kuznetsov. The ATC will aknowledge and will grant you permission. When you get close to the ship you will find it configured for recovery - guardrails folded and no flagpole.

I checked this and its true, when I reached the deck the guard rails were folded down, and the crew must have taken away the flagpole... As for the FLOLS they don't seem bright enough to be usable, even at night... which is too bad now, because this carrier now has reached a very good quality level. No animated crews alright, but if you populate it with parked aircraft it will get a pretty decent carrier ops feel for the Red side.
  22. This really helped a lot. Spawning in the Supercarriers mission template, full of objects, AI's on all 4 catapults, the full animated 4 sets of ground crew getting busy, I get 30 plus, up to 40FPS, when looking at the most dense areas. No stutters, everything running smoothly. Perfectly playable. Now in the air, I get 80 plus FPS. I didn't tweak anything else. High Graphic settings preset in DCS options, VSYNC unchecked + Vsync set to FAST on the Nvidea panel. Nothing else. No screen tearing noticeable to bother with. I'm sure there might be other FPS benefits by tweaking the graphics card, but I won't probably bother, unless things get rough in any other object dense mission/terrain or in multiplayer (which I didn't try yet). BIG THANK YOU!! At 512 they do get blurry in my screen, not very pleasant to look at...

This is a very good idea, probably the "Inbound" callout to... So how do we get the FLOLS to work? I read in another thread that comms had to be used so the ship gets configured for plane recovery, by laying down the guardrail and removal of the flag pole at the stern... I will check if frequencies can be assigned to this ship in the mission editor, and try it out... Anyway, thanks very much for the answer.
  24. I think you got it spot on, because in fact my screen is limited to 60FPS. When I first installed DCS (no modules), I was getting 90 plus FPS, then I realize the image was splitting when moved around. So I went to the DCS options and noticed that VSYNC was not checked. I just checked it and forget about the issue. My frames came to 60FPS as normal, so I didn't even bother. Just now with more demanding stuff, they started to come down but strangely they got steady at 30FPS. I will try that setting in the NVIDIA panel, and see if it works. Thanks for the tip!

Very well noted, let me try that. Thank you.
