  1. No when you install DCS from Steam, you dont get any options, to what content you want. Its all or nothing. I know that in the in game start menu you can then choose among them. I have not yet tried to intall, then open the ingame menu , select fewer maps/modules. Uninstall and then reinstall Steam DCS. But I am considering that. Currently I am looking at buying a bigger Internal Harddisc , but I have to find out if i can replace the original drive. My USB ports are 3.1 , I am not sure of speed of the External drive I just bought. Its a cheap one. Toshiba 2TB canvio basics portable storage device. When I tried to install DCS on it , it just slowed down and the estimated time went up more than 48 hours. I gave up on it , and reinstalled on my internal drive , and it was done in 2-3 hours instead. As I stated in previous comment I am not that tech smart with computers. Here is some info on my hardware. TOPG-ULTIMATE-PRO, I9-9900K(F), 32G-RAM,RTX2080SUPER-8G,1TB-SSD-NVMe NZXT H500 BLACK DISC2 storage 512GB SSD M2 NVMe (INTEL 660P). Salute
  2. I have this problem to. Also I have my DCS on Steam. And I dont see any option to avoid any maps before installing. I know once its installed and I open DCS there the option to choose maps. But first I have to install the entire content I own. Wich is 10 maps and 12 modules. It takes up almost 1 TB of storage. Maybe there is a simple way to work around this , but I dont know it yet. I have tried to buy an external drive but , it works so slow that it will take more than 2 days to download and store all those files on it. So I am stuck. I wanted to buy the new F4U corsair , but I cant , because there no more storage space left. DCS takes up my entire Harddisc. I know I am far from being tech savy on computers so Its most likely my fault.
  3. I contacted ED IT support. They where very helpful. And it was Windows Defender exclusion of all DCS files . And then followed by going in to Steam library DCS and verify File integrity. It was the last bit I was missing. I am kind of hopeless with stuff like this so I am grateful for the help from the support team. Problem solved
  4. Tried those steps . I dont have any third part AV either. But the Module is still gone from my Steam Library. I will have to contact customer support . I am not super smart with stuff like this. So its just a bit frustrating for an old slowited guy like me. When I was young , once you bought something , got it home . It stayed there.
  5. I have the same problem. With the F 14. I own a lot of modules and maps and DLC. But today i get the message that i do not own the F 14 module wich I paid money for. I will be removed. I might be old and old fashion. But I do not like that way behaving from a company. Not a all. I bought that module years ago. To have a company show up suddenly and Threaten to away what you bought . Its mind bogling to me that anbody would conduct buisnes that way. To have to spend time on dealing with this nonsens its not ok I my opinion.
  6. I have been flying other modules for a while. So I was sure I damaged the plane at take of. Landed and asked for repairs. Still back in the air heavy vibrations , but went to firing range and had my fun. But I guess I know how drivers feel in the new F1 cars.
  7. +1 OP . When trying to slow from 100 knots to a hover. I often make a Force trim mistake. And it snowballs when I try to correct it. I make it worse. Hitting Ctrl+T , hoping to neutralize my mistakes Until I end up upside down and chrash. Still love this module , Its beautifully made and I dont mind that its a hard Bronco to break
  8. @Baz000 Yes its really well done. Adds a lot. And now thanks to your vid , I recognize " kneel and hook " to . They really did a great job here I think.
  9. Used to work at a Shipyard. We used hands to signal crane operators a lot. There where rules to follow there to. This is really perfect , it works great and adds realism . Thanks for the vids spider
  10. This forum is a pure Goldmine, been having that problem for 2 days . Thanks guys. Also made my first carrier landing today. So not a bad day at all
  11. @Baz000 Thx that was it you are a champ , I was scrambling through whatever I could find on hand signals. No going further forward, as soon as I spread the wings the crew sprung into action. @MAXsenna Thx for youre advise to - they actually told me to roll just a bit forward , so you where right to - Keep the blue side up spider
  12. ..please come on man.
  13. Still no luck. Here is some Pics from my latest attempt. Its on the Washington. In the CV quals instant mission. But no luck in getting that hook on
  14. In the F 14 carrier take off lesson. Its "U" to hook up. Then "L+shift U" to salute and launch. But I cant do it on any other ship so far. But yes I noticed that option in the F 10 radio menu. But I was not near the launch bar when I tried it. I will immediately go back and try again.
  15. Im a total newbie to the F 14. I seem to have a problem only on supercarriers , where there is a crew visible. I cant get them to hook me to catapult. No problem in the training lesson. I can do it fine. When I go to that same spot at launch bar , careful to be aligned and all. But pressing " U " , nothing happens. They just stand there. But whenever I try it on " The Stennis" - the one without visible crew - I get hooked Anyone else have this problem? Happy Landings spider
