  1. Oh drat, that appears to only work with FC1, I only have FC2. Thanks anyway! I would appreciate it if anyone could tell me whether or not this is possible in FC2 1.2.1.
  2. It works beautifully for me. Did you press load after you selected your preset frequency? Turning the preset dial will not automatically load the frequency.
  3. RF13, I noticed the Su-33 posing for the GRE2 and GRE4 skins had R-77s equipped. How was this accomplished? I am looking for a way to make the Su-33 my ultimate multirole fighter in single player. Having the ability to equip R-77s would be just perfect. Is there a mod you could direct me to? Would it be possible to do this by manually editing LUA files? By the way, I absolutely love your missile pack, they look incredible on my plane!
  4. See this thread for the EAC. :)
  5. Trim works perfectly for me. Make sure your commands are mapped right, or if you're trying to use the emergency panel, that the pitch/roll trim switch is set to emergency override. As for rudder, the SAS autopilot channels should already make it so you don't have to use it so much. Taxiing on the ground is another story.
  6. I am pretty sure that x86 refers to 32 bit programming, but I'm not as tech savvy as I'd like to be so someone that knows what they're doing will have to confirm. I do know that using 64 bit as opposed to 32 allows more memory to be utilized at once, reducing stutters caused by swapping files from hard drive to RAM when the RAM is full. There's not much difference other than that. Edit: Slow typing heheh.
  7. Excellent, I was able to get my icons to show at the perfect ranges. Thank you sir!
  8. I'm often finding myself turning on icons just to see a bandit only 300 yards out from me to find out that I was already staring at him and not seeing a thing. However I don't want to have icons tagging targets BVR like they do now. Is it possible to edit the rages that the icons show up at via a .LUA file?

    Beta 2 Zoom

Excellent that worked, thank you Greb!
  10. The minimum zoom level in the new version is way too far out and gives me a "fish eye" view and really throws me off. I use the slider on my X52 for zoom and I am constantly adjusting my zoom while I play, but it is a hassle to have to find the 1:1 zoom level for when I need max FOV. The fish eye view is not only annoying but makes it difficult for me to play. Is there a setting or a config file I can adjust to keep the base zoom at 1:1? I understand that bug reports are invalid with a modified config file and I will change it back before reporting.
  11. THAT explains my own CADC problems, thank you sir!
  12. This mission is broken for me as well. Instructions are being interrupted by the warning "Watch your speed! Maintain 250 KIAS" while I'm at 249. I only got as far as setting the pod to A-A mode. IIRC 250 IAS actually made me overshoot the targets... I'll try the mission again to confirm. Edit: Yep, 250 indicated is way too fast, and I'm still getting the severe interruptions.
  13. A note about the gun and rocket tutorial... For the rockets, the instructor has you configure the rockets to ripple pairs with a quantity of 3. Am I correct in assuming that you are supposed to fire 3 pairs of rockets, or is it just 3 rockets? If the former, either the instructor should have you set the value to 6 for 3 pairs to be fired, or the DSMS should be fixed to have the value 3 be defined as 3 pairs instead of 3 rockets when the release type is set to ripple pairs. Thanks guys!
  14. My first post, I hope it can help somebody. I have noticed many things when it comes to auto hover and trimming in DCS: BS, and I have made conclusions based on experience. I don't claim (though I wish I could) to have full understanding of the system it uses. First of all, auto-hover cannot be used below 4 meters, and neither will the HUD display the airspeed provided by data from the INU, that's why the airspeed freezes for you. I assume it's because the designers of the helicopter assumed you wouldn't be stupid enough to try to use a failure-prone system at such a dangerous altitude. Your eyes and intellect should be good enough at 4 meters. As for trimming, the method of holding down the trimmer while you make adjustments is the best way to do it. The autopilots enter corrections to the stick based on inputs from the trimmer. If you just move the stick to the position and then press and release the trim button, you're including the autopilot corrections and leaving more chance for error. At least, that's how I think it is. :pilotfly: <<S>> Mar
