that as cheesy and uninteligent as it may sound, i believe, if only developers could acquire enough data about it, i believe they would enthusiastically include it in their long term list of projects. We often don't realise how OLD the Raptor really is by now .... and i don't mean capabilities wise ofcourse but time wise .... its been around since forever now ... That combined with the iresistable glamour that surrounds it, would made it trade wise an instant hit .... the vital third componet missing i guess and maybe would be still missing for long is enough data ....

Option for Cinematographic mode of external camera movements. Option for making the camera behave Real-life-like ones. eg mouse controlled external cameras would not move as if they are "weightless" , not as they are so far in sims like ufos hovering in space, that follow the object's vector and velocity when at the same time can yo-yo around it in a flash in any direction like a quantum particle, but the movements would mimic real life camera shooting practices , eg as if the camera is on another plane, etc .... effects / modes like lets say the camera having its own independent course/velocity vector (as if mounted on the ramp of a transport lets say) and the camera either tracks the object (flyable plane) while mounted on that carrier, or shoots towards just one direction (and the object (piloted plane) enters in and out the camera's field of view) like trying to get in formation with the camera or out of it, option to adjust the zoom rate etc etc etc :)

I would be posting F-16 in every similar thread no matter how much time they repeat themselves :P

my mistake. apologies. yday i checked for the first time videos of DCS A-10C and i thought i saw daytime tracers like in FC2 . Checked again a while ago, no tracers ofcourse. Personally i dont care if they exist or not in either DCS or FC2 , both options work with me. I wont ever blame ED for their degree of fidelity, i am sure they are keeping it high enough whatsoever for my potential and taste, 80% or 99% is ok with me. I am concerned though about it "feeling" real and cinematographic as much as possible :D To enrich furthermore my own trivia: Tracers existing in FC2 mean that they were produced & used by the "A" in previous times ? Really, i would like to see those impact effects transfered to FC2 (or the FC1 ones at least, its the same for me)
-
the real deal does use them though in certain cases ;) thats enough reason to give us the option. eg The real deal doesn't fracticide either but sim gives you the option to do it ;) where the A-10 is when firing avenger at night estimated by the tracers is not of much operational value propably as in the next second is far away from there ;) Not to mention the nozzle flash no matter how restricted ;) ED uses "tracers" in A-10C during day ;)
-
but they can be used in RL in occasions, can't they? Therefore and since its a game (sorry, a simulator) and one of the main reasons we "fly" it is to have FUN, tracers can just fit in the middle : they CAN be loaded in RL, and they are used in simulation for the fun aspect of a simulator sake ... :) Or, even better, give the user the choice and suggestions what rounds to load ;) The discussion repeats itself LOL :P
-
okay ....... LOL it seems ED is dedicated to never complete the A-10 gunfire works :P one more to the various reasons why i am not comfortable (anyways) to spend 60 for it. (when it will get to 20 after ages i will typically make my move)

Or the ones of DCS A-10C to FC2?
-
No, i mean ofcourse the visual effects, and there has been a big discussion and complains issue about the A-10 Gunfire effects in FC2 (eg http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=51698) (and apparently they have taken it into acount and A-10C implements proper graphics effects in this field) so i have been wondering, since various people of different levels of in-depth knowledge in the workings of FC2 graphics participated in those disucssions and they release from time to time various graphics mods , i thought to ask if maybe its possible in case it is and nobody tried it yet , or in case that someone did it and released such a fix/mod. ;)
-
. Is it possible to transfer the ground / target impact effects of A-10 gunfire from DCS to FC2 ?? . :D
-
My suspicion, check if you have other controllers connected that are stealing I/O time from your stick. One way is to disable other controllers/ usb device from device manager and other is to delete other devices from the flight controllers set-up panel within FC2 (which i personally find it unecessarily complicated and user unfriendly btw)

I am thinking to replace my monitor with a touch one. I am thinking the touch feature solely for simulators (DCS). Will that work for interactive cockpits ?? ( another thing is that i need to combine a single monitor for both work (graphid design) and gaming. So it has to be an IPS panel, and the only IPS panel touch screen i google found is a freshly released Dell 22" (barely) while i need 24" minimum for work. Does it look like theres going to be 24" IPS touch screens later ? )

Next DCS (US) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List
Squid replied to diecastbg's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Given the recent developments with the domains & the policy difference between boeing and Lckheed, it looks that its going to be a Hornet. (not bad at all, just really wished for a Viper) -

So, finding this http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=34151&page=8 My report about it is : Playing around a little with crazysundog's straight forward installation Modman package ENB 2.1 : ( http://www.mediafire.com/?2kmqyczn4zw ) - 2.0 file is no longer downloadable - 2.1 is the yellowish version of 2.0. Tint easily removed by deleting the enbpallete.bmp - changing the path of d3d9.dll to bin\x86\stable (from bin\stable, package is originaly made for BS) makes the mod work with FC2 - during flight Shift-F12 toggles activation of mod crazysundog's settings are nice (enbseries.ini, you can play with them). The yellow version makes FC2 even more cinematographic / dramatic. I was impressed to notice a slight depth of field effect too I didn't notice an fps drop that could be felt. (Didnt bother check the actual numbers though) Trivia: it all derives from a russian programmer who created a universal (with adaptations) HDR-like mod for many unrelated games (mainly Grand Theft Auto) calling it ENB series (if i am right). It is not actual HDR, rather a simulation of some of HDR characteristics.

. i just simply installed in FC2 by modman the 2.1 mentioned in page 8 but nothing changed. No visual difference. Missing something in activation / installation ? .
-
yes, what happened ? any progress ? applicable to FC2?
-
Please, please, pretty please, bring back the old functionality in the loadout screen with the 3D previews (including skins) and detailed weapon info. And the 3D preview in encyclopedia too why not. Both in FC2 and DCS.
-
just came back from there :P found only a bugy semi-finished version for FC1 :(
-
Can you help me locate the HDR mod for FC2? :)
