Hi Guys. I'm new to DCS and I've downloaded your Range objects to put in. I'm runni9ng a stable version and can't find exactly where to put the files. Can you help me at all. I've registered on your site but still awaiting the e-mail to activate so I can't ask there as yet. Thanks

Yes, I'd discovered that one. As you say, much easier to just enter it and use the HOTAS!

Thanks, Emmy. That's where I was going wrong. Was selecting weapons to deliver on the DSMS page not using the hotas keys. Tried it, works like a charm.

I think I've got the hang of it now. It doesn't work if I input it straight into the "prof" but if I select the weapons first (highlighted in white) and then fill in the "prof" with the ripple info, it works. Obviously that's what I'm supposed to do and I missed that in the manual.

I've been having trouble setting ripples up and I thought I had it fixed. I set it up on the normal "PROF" page and nothing happens, the message remains single bomb in the centre of the display. On checking, it is correctlt filled in as riple single, six bombs, 125 feet spacing. I persist in trying and eventually a blank prof comes up and I fill it all in again and, bingo, works as advertised, centre of DSMS display says rip single, 6 bombs, 125 feet spacing. It's obviously me, I may be missing something important but I'm sure the Manual and the video say go into the page, set it up and drop bombs. HAve I missed something or do I need to uninstall my Hog and re install it because something has gone wrong. Very frustrating, thought I had it licked but it seems not. Any help would be appreciated. Meanwhile, AAR is a complete mystery and I've tried to hook up for hours and always lose ot at the last second!! Thanks in advance.:(:(

Sorted. I wasn't getting the message in the centre of the screen to say ripple set, it was stuck on Single for some reason. Persisted until I got ripple single, 6 bombs and 125 feet spacing And rippled three sticks of 6. Does what it says on the tin now!

Nope, still no ripple. Set up for ripple single, 75 feet spacing CCIP pressed pickle and only one bomb. Must be doing something wrong or mine's broken!

Thanks, I'll try that then. HAving Ripple Pairs as an option on the PROF is a bit confusing then. Obvs just for rockets now you have explained. Many thanks, I'll go and try it.

6 x AGM65D, 4 X CBU 97. CBU97 VERY effective against groups of armour, especially Self Propelled Artillery groups. Dropped two on an artillery set up and the only survivor was a truck which I cannone next pass.

Doesn't matter what I do, which weapon I use, which stations they are on I cannot get ANY weapons to ripple. I flew a sortie today with 12 X Mk82 on TERs on stations 3,4,8 and 9 just to see. I had read that some stations won't multi drop because of proximity to airframe so I tried 2 different sets of stations. I set up the prof to ripple pairs, 6 bombs in CCIP. Off I went, found a target and dropped. One bomb only, no matter how long I held the pickle button. I know I have to pickle until the whole stick has gone. One bomb per press is all I can ever do, which is a bit annoying when I've dodged the AAA and SAMS to drop a stick on a column only to find I need to do it another five times in order to drop the whole stick. Same in CCRP, no ripple only one bomb per pickle. Can anyone explain what I may be doing wrong please? :(:(

Downloaded the user made Winter Assault but no instructions on where to put it. Tried to put it in the campaigns folder but it doesnt show up when I load DCS. Can anyone tell me where to put this please. Still very new to DCS and not used one of these before. Thanks

Still new to DCS, downloaded Winter Bridgehead. Where do I put the two files that it contains please? The "lua" and "miz" files. I ask because I have taken the Winter Assault folder and put it in the campaigns folder in "Mods" and it doesn't show up when I start the game. Thanks

Bought CA to go with it and doing campaign again. Great fun being able to direct ground troops. So far I have had the tanks and artillary help out with SEAD, taking out Shilkas and SAMs before I or the SEAD flight get there. Makes life a little less dangerous. Thoroughly enjoying it. Lee "Streaky".

Still get shot at on famil mission. Successfully evaded missiles with jammer and Chaff/Flares plus violent manoevering. No big deal, took Mavericks and flew it again then took out the launcher to get my own back! Great fun but the system didn't like that and failed the mission because I didn't follow the route I guess. Did it again like a good boy and passed easily. Enjoyed the capmpaign very much so bought Combined Arms so I can direct ground forces too and started again. Great fun. Can't wait for Warthog II.

Training tends to be a bit "sticky" in my experience. Sometimes have to wait for the instructor to catch up, as it were. Sometimes even pressing "return" on the MFD and doing the required action again. It's a bit frustrating but not insurmountable. My biggest problem on the A10c in the Caucasus is completing the Air to Air training. It just hangs half way through and won't budge no matter what I do, so that I can fire 'Winders but the gun is still a mystery!

Is there any documentation with Stone Shield please? Cant find it in the usual place. TIA Lee

Mine works fine, maybe they fixed it by the time I got it a couple of days ago. My only problem is finding the blooming BMP! Keep failing though. Ridiculously short time to get the new arrivals.

I have searched for this info and cant find it, lots of other good stuff but not this specifically. I have discovered I can direct ground troops. DO I have to have the Combined Arms module installed or will it just work with my A10c? Thanks
