Since V1.2.8 impossible to use my radio with the ATC...
Teo replied to Skulleader's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
Check the AM/FM selector. IIRC it defaults to the "wrong" position at the moment. -
Your nickname implies that you are from Sweden, or at least speaking swedish. If so, head over to http://www.masterarms.se/ and join us!

Yep! Presets are located in this file: \Mods\aircrafts\Uh-1H\Cockpit\Scripts\UHF_ARC_51\UHF_Radio.lua I don't think you can edit the presets from the cockpit (I haven't found out how anyway)

You are reading the charts correct  But, in-game, the ruler on the F10 doesnt give you true or magnetic, it gives you heading relative to the up/down axis on the map, wich has nothing to do with real life navigation.
-
Unfortunately not. See quote below, but 6 degrees is somewhat good average if you dont have a real map and a protractor at hand.
-
Yes, its actually rather easy to use, but be careful with the direction you get with the "ruler" on the F10 map. The doppler system wants true heading, but the ruler tool gives you heading relative to screen coordinates - heading 0 is straight up, and not along the longitude line wich it should be. You have to "guesstimate" the difference and adjust accordingly.

What a great helicopter, thanks Belsimtek!

It is there. I promise :) Number 1 in this panel: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/products/magnificent_eight/?PAGEN_2=2#446356 -
Of course not. But I was confused in the beginning when I moved the switch - the yellow info text still said "SAFE". That was because of the CBs not being on, and I thought that it might be the problem here as well.

Ensure all weapon system circuit breakers are on (the left sections of breakers). IIRC they are left off if you are using autostart.

Or even better: Multiplayer shared cockpit... :music_whistling:

It does actually. But it isn't presented in a easy to follow, tutorial-like way. I dont have have the manual at hand right now but i think it is like this: Top number - Deviation from track (km) Middle number - Path distance (km) Bottom number - Desired true heading (map angle) So, if you want to go 40 km to the east you enter the following: Leave track deviation at 0 Set distance to -40 (left button) Set angle to heading ~84 degrees Start coordinate calculation (right bottom buttom) Head east and watch the distance counter count down to 0. Watch deviation to se if you are slipping, and adjust accordingly. This is how I understand it works, and it seems to be this way in-game, but please correct me if I'm wrong

4). Yes, it seems that the cut-off switch and burst length selector doesn't affect the UPK pods, but it works for GUV-8700 pods. It's the same in the Ka-50 for the UPK pods.

Gradual engine power loss, then engine shuts down

Will take a look when I get home from work, but in the meantime: Fuel gauge is located on the navigators panel. The gauge with a yellow center, and a knob to select wich tank to display (or CYMMA) for total. IIRC throttle should be "full right" and the governor handles actual power output according to collective? -
Stand up and be counted all ye Mi-8 operators

Bought, installed and smiled! Great work BST! -
That HUD is IIRC from one of the prototype airframes, and there is no way to switch HUD presentation to match that. Watch some other videos ex: (around 4:10) and the HUD is the same as in-game.

0... Boom! Wow! Really looking forward to this!

:joystick:

Hi, Start regedit.exe (start->run->regedit) and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER->Software->Eagle Dynamics, and from there, right click the Black Shar "folder" and select Export. Save the exported file somewere safe. When you have reinstalled your OS, double click your exported .reg file to import it into the registry again. That worked for me anyway...
-

Unfortunately there is no viocecomms ingame (only text chat), you have to use some third party product like TeamSpeak.

Tack för hostingen Schutz, nu tror jag att jag fattat datalänken och kan lära någon annan. Var det knepigt att få brandväggen att lira med detta?
-
Yes, speed on shkval is airspeed, and HUD displays groundspeed (from INS).
-
Jodå, går rätt ok, men inga loopar än :P Har inte riktigt full koll på datalänken och navigationen än men vapensystemen har jag inga problem med längre. Måste öva lite till, sen vore det skoj att köra lite multiplayer
